Canon PowerShot G9: Spring to zoom in and out is broken... zoom function impaired.

Hello,

My trusty Powershot G9 is no longer zooming correctly in or out... I mean it still works intermittent, from full zoom-out to full zoom-in or vice versa... but I cannot zoom-in or zoom-out in stages anymore.

Does anyone have a similar issue and maybe a way to remedy the issue?

Nothing but a hiss when I play back videos. Camera shop technician had no more luck than I did. Could the microphone be defective and can I fix it myself? This camera is over 5 years old and Canon can't fix it. Despicable customer service.

Hello, I am from Serbia, and I have the Canon PowerShot G9 and when the recording can not hear the sound in general says a lot of good pictures and videos ... I wish I could somehow could be solved! Otherwise I record for youtube and this camera is a must for me FaceCam! If somehow you can help me I would appreciate it very much.

Howdy! I have a Canon Powershot G9 that will not turn on.

I've heard of the issues that people have had with the DC/DC power board, and that seems to be the most common reason for them to break. I ended up replacing my DC/DC board, but still no luck.

Cleaned the contacts of the power button, nothing.

What should I try next?

Any idea who can repair the sd slot in the cannon g9. Insert the sd card and power on, sd card memory error. Tried other cards with no luck.
