Canon PowerShot G11: How to change the lens and LCD on Canon PowerShot G11 camera?

Hi, I would like to fix my Canon powershot G11 if possible. The lens has some scratches and the LCD screen cracked so it is totally black now, everything else is in perfect conditions. The most difficult thing has been to find spare parts (extremely expensive). I wonder if you have these spare parts in your store and a guide to fix this camera?! Thanx!!

Canon PowerShot G11: Dust Speck Inside Canon Powershot G11 Lens

I have what appears to be a dust spec on the inside of my Canon Powershot G11 lens and I want to disassemble, clean and reassemble. I took it to a shop that looked at it and they are 99% sure that it is not dead pixels in the sensor. They advised buying a new camera because repair would be $100's or find a used G11 without the dust speck and did lament that the G11 is a great camera, had a cult following and it was almost impossible to clean the innards.

Anyway if it is trash I might as well take a stab at cleaning it. Is there a manual that will guide me though the inner world of this cube packed with technology with a hope of being able to reassemble it?

Canon PowerShot G11: Do you have a guide for replacing the LCD and the LCD cover?

On my Canon PowerShot G11, the LCD is broken and the case that holds the LCD is dented. I need to replace the LCD and the case as a unit. Do you have a guide for doing this? If not, is this something that I can figure out based on your guide for replacing the rear cover?

Canon PowerShot G11: Canon G11 LCD not flipping when in selfie mode

My LCD has two issues. First, when the LCD is flipped and faced backward, it turns off automatically, which only happens when the LCD is facing forward (Not showing). Second, when the LCD is rotated to the left and flipped to the forward position for taking selfie, the view does not rotate anymore.

Everything else works fine. I can take pictures with the LCD been turned off.

Canon PowerShot G11: Powershot G11 LCD Screen Issue

My Dad has a Canon Powershot G11 where the LCD screen would shut off sometimes when the screen was moved. We suspected a damaged LCD hinge flex cable so bought a replacement off ebay, however when he fitted it the screen did not display at all and the lense would not open and close fully when turned on. When I had a look I noticed that he had inserted the flex cable in to the LCD driver board the wrong way around. When I turned it around the camera seems to operate correctly but the LCD screen was still blank (the backlight did turn on). We tried going back to the original flex cable but that made no difference. I suspect that powering on the camera with the flex cable plugged in the wrong way around may have damaged the LCD driver board, does this sound right to you and if so is it likely to have damaged the LCD screen as well?

Canon PowerShot G11: some images are corrupted

can anyone advise.. I take a series of photos. every so often the message on the camera says 'unidentified image' . on the computer these images are completely scrambled, like cut into random pieces and reassembled irregularly. But only on some of them, the others are fine. I'm about to dismantle the whole camera as the lens is stuck and need to know whether and what I should replace while I'm at it. Thanks..
