Canon PowerShot A80: Problem with the Canon PowerShot A80 Digital Camera

At shooting on LCD screen there are vertical colour strips. If I am viewing photos on

my memory card which appear normal. You can't see what you'd like to take a picture of...it's

just there are vertical colour strips. Can this be fixed?

Canon PowerShot A80: My camera is A810 and is not listed; I have a black screen

I have a PowerShot A810 HD which is not listed above. I had this camera in a box for many years brand new and just now started using it. I’ve been using it for about 3 months now when all of a sudden my screen turned black. The camera starts up, it takes pictures fine (I just can’t see what I’m taking a picture of). The camera turns off and on fine and the lens retracts, it uploads to my computer, but the screen is black. This camera is like new since I’ve never used it. I have read the numerous complaints from other people who have the same problem. I also saw how many cameras were recalled, but for some reason I can’t seem to find this model anywhere. Did I accidentally touch something to cause the screen to turn black? I recharged the batteries and left them in overnight, because I read that the flash has to recharge, but when I woke up in the morning, still a black screen. When I turn the camera on, I could see the screen flashes that shows Canon, but then turns black again. Please help

Canon PowerShot A80: No shutter sound and completely black images

Hello, I’m using a Canon PowerShot A80 and recently encountered an issue with the camera.

Previously, I could hear a distinct “click” sound when taking photos, but now there is no shutter sound at all. When I try to take pictures, the resulting images are completely black. However, the camera itself still powers on normally, the menu displays correctly, and I can view previously taken photos without any problem.

Because of this, I suspect that the shutter might be stuck closed or not functioning properly. I also tried basic troubleshooting such as restarting the camera, removing the batteries, and testing in different lighting conditions, but the issue persists.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem with this model or similar cameras?

Is this likely a shutter failure, and is there any non-invasive way to fix it without fully disassembling the camera?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

i removed the card and when i put it back into the camera the display says no image,memory card error. what happened?
