Canon PowerShot A2200: Didplay goes black after one photo

My Canon A2200 has stopped working in normal condition; takes a photo, displays image and then display goes black. I posted a similar question and quite a few people suggested that it was my battery. I purchased a new battery, charged it and tried it out to no avail. I contacted Canon USA and was told that a sensor has malfunctioned and unfortunately the camera has reached the end of its service life (no spare/repair parts.)

Does anyone know where the said sensor might be located and what business might stock these? If there are any sensors out there I could repair my camera.

Thank you

Canon PowerShot A2200: Screen goes black after taking a photo.

I turn on my Canon, Sure shot A2200, focus on subject, depress shutter button, review photo, then the screen goes black. The only way to get a “live” view is to turn camera off and back on.

Anyone else have this problem? Can it be fixed?
