Canon EOS Rebel XS: Camera won't take photo when shutter button is pushed

All other features of the camera seem to be operating just fine. Shutter release button doesn't appear damaged, but will not respond to being pushed to take a photo. I was able to take ONE photo when applying DEEP pressure to the button, but don't want to cause further damage. Help!!

I called a repair man and he said a part needs to be changed. He is asking too much for the repair. I see that parts on your site is not as expensive. I just wanted to know which part exactly needs to be changed with this kind of error. So that I can order it from you. Hope to hear from you soon.

Canon EOS Rebel XS: Where can I get a reflector mirror part for my camera?

The reflector mirror shattered and I need to replace it, but don't know where to buy this part. As other companies ask a fee just to send it away and then the cost come for the repair. I want to try and cancel the extra cost by doing the repair myself. Can you help?

when I try to take pictures the camera goes three times and then a message come up that "the built in auto flash pop up was obstructed, turn off the camera and then turn on" I have done this several times and the flash still does not pop up and I cannot take any pictures and any help would be .PS I have changed the battery PS. was out in the cold also appreciated

Hi all,

I am a novice amature with a Canon 1000D DSLR. FOr a few days I am facing an issue with my camera. When I turn the switch off the camera is still remaining "ON" as it seems the switch is not working properly. I suspect some moisture/ dust has entered into the area below the on off switch. Please help

I've put new batteries and film in the camera. You can hear the film catch and you can see the film icon on the LCD screen but when I go to try to shoot a picture nothing happens.

Hey, whenever I snap a picture the bottom part of the mirror is blocking the shutter so half of the photos I take are black. Everything works fine it is just that one peice causing me issues.
