Canon EOS Rebel T4i: Why isn't the image being saved?

I noticed some time back that the image is not saved onto the SD card in spite of everything sounding normal during taking the shot. This ws under normal daylight conditions in the A mode. It started with skipping the occasional image, then it stopped saving any images the next time I tried then I tried taking the shots on the M mode; now it isn't saving the images. This is in spite of the card showing plenty of space.

Canon EOS Rebel T4i: little battery cover switch.

Hello,

my 650D could no longer turn on.

I found on the Internet a note that it could be the battery cover switch (little secure switch when you open the battery-cover). As I pressed the little switch with the screwdriver the eos turned on. :D

In the Internet I was supposed to bend the small switch with the screw in the middle. At the attempt the switch broked : /

Now my questions:

Can this switch or the board be replaced?

If so, what is the description of this board-part?

Can you simply bridge it? (I can solder)

I would like to unscrew the camera when I know more about it.

Thank you.

Canon EOS Rebel T4i: Resources for Memory Card Reader Replacement/Repair?

My Canon T4i has met with a terrible fate. (Majora's Mask, anyone?) As with many of its fellow T4i brothers, the memory card reader has pins that are mangled. In my attempts to realign them without opening up the camera body, via some picks through the slot opening itself, I managed to further the damge. As such, and not willing to accept defeat, and Gan...err... Canon's outrageous repair prices, I am in search of a comprehensive guide on how to replace the aforementioned card reader. Also, a trustworthy source of camera parts would be, as with any assistance offered here, greatly appreciated.

TL;DR

Card reader is broken. Need to find a new one and to know how to fix it. Made obscure Legend of Zelda references.

Canon EOS Rebel T4i: A/V Output not working

I have been trying to connect my t4i to the laptop and I have been receiving an error message,

" Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

A request for the USB device descriptor failed."

At this point I have tried different cables, different USB ports, I have done a clean reinstall of windows 10 and have made sure that all drivers are up to date. My conclusion is that this is an issue with my camera A/V output port, is there any way to repair this??

Canon EOS Rebel T4i: Quick menu is jumping on ISO

I turn on my camera and the first thing thats appears on my screen is the iso. (normally, the quick menu is the first thing). So i select the iso, and put ok, and the iso cames back to choose again and i hit ok, and this happens again and over and over, doing this so many times. So it seems like my button is pressed on iso, but is not. So i change my dial program to another M or P or Macro, and it comes back on this. It is annoying because i choose iso 400 so the iso comes and popup on my screen many times and sometimes changes to another iso.

I have reseted all options, update the firmware, remove the batery, replace to another card, and the menu goes crazy.

But this happens on photo, on video, on live preview or on visor. I pressed all buttons to push if something happens to them, but for some seconds stops, and when i try to take a picture, it goes crazy again!

This happens more on the Iso, but i saw changing others thinks like aperture... i really don't know what is going on... any clue?

Thanks :)

Canon EOS Rebel T4i: About auto focus calibration...

Hi, I have a T5i not in the list but basically the same to the T4i, and this will probably apply to anu rebel camera.

Higher grade camperas have focus trim options for each lens, rebel camera don’t, but canon provide the service of calibration, so the camera is capable of doing it.

My question is of somebody knows the method and if there is some way to archive it at home. It worth mentioning that I kniw my electrónicos and pinching in an interna conector and comunicating that way wouldnt be a problema.
