Canon EOS Rebel T3i: How to get access to fix the optical view finder lens?

Hello,

My optical view finder lens has become dislodged (It moves when I jiggle the camera).

I'm not sure how it happened, but I reckon someone dropped the camera.

The rest of the camera works fine (all buttons, screen, autofocus, etc...), I just have to use the screen to take pictures, and it is not very practical (super slow focusing).

Even though I am comfortable with following this guide, I'd like to be sure it will give me access to the lens area, as opening up devices like these (even for professionals) involves some risks.

I can't quite tell what is accessible from the images.

Thanks for confirming this,

UPDATE: This is actually similar to the question @jlaurent asked here: Eyepiece is not working.

Canon EOS Rebel T3i: Screen Black but Camera Still Shoots-Help!

One day my Cannon Rebel T3i was working great! The next day, the screen went black yet the camera still took pictures that I was able to download. I am unable to replay pics or view which setting I am in on the screen. The menu or info buttons are not working either. I have tried several troubleshooting ideas from the display button, removing and recharging the battery, replacing the SD card, to pushing the info button several times to reset the screen yet nothing seems to work. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!!!!

Canon EOS Rebel T3i: Viewfinder Blurry, Images Sharp

Hi everyone! My Canon t3i's viewfinder is super blurry. I've tried adjusting the diopter and that's not the problem it seems. When I look into the diopter from 4+ inches away I see a black rectangle that looks to have fallen out of place. As I place my eye to the optical viewfinder, I no longer see the rectangle but it's totally blurry and nothing is in focus.

My images are still great but I'm unable to use my viewfinder to take photos which is a bit of a pain, since I can't effectively manually focus. A photographer friend of mine mentioned that it looks as though the "seal" has come undone and told me that the object is the reason for the blurriness.

any advice as to how to open my camera to find and fix whatever object is in the way?

Trying to self-repair my busted T3i SD card port but one of the screws that is right under the battery door of the camera is completely stripped so I can't get inside of the camera. Its deep in the hole so I can't use any sort of dremel, plus the rubber band/super glue trick was not successful. The screw is very small and the strip has become a complete circle. Any help would appreciated! Thanks!
