Canon EOS Rebel T2i: My canon keeps turning off on its own.

My canon had been working just fine and out of nowhere it started turning off on its own. The screen goes black after a couple of photos for no reason. Every time this happens I take the fully charged battery off and put on my 2nd fully charged battery. Then it turns on again and allows me to use it again for some photos and ends up turning back off. If I simply take it off and then put back in the same battery it doesn't work. I have to put on the other battery. Either way it ends up dying and it only works for a while when I change the batteries. There's no message at all. The screen goes black and it won't turn on.

Canon EOS Rebel T2i: SD card won't lock in, card cannot be accessed when door is closed

The SD card to my second-hand EOS Rebel T2i does not lock into the slot. When I shut the door to the SD slot the camera displays “Card cannot be accessed, Reinsert / change card or format card with camera”. I have formatted my SD card with both my camera and a program on my computer to no avail, I have also tried changing the SD card which also changed nothing. I have attempted to look in my town for a camera repair place, but I don’t want to give it to cannon because they are way too overpriced, as i bought a battery marketed as $50 for ~$7.

Canon EOS Rebel T2i: Why has my dial started acting strangly?

The dial on my Canon 550D has started acting strangely. When I turn the dial to manual mode it just stays in P mode, and won't work in video mode. Other times when I turn it to Portrait, Landscape or any of the other modes a different mode appears on the display, sometimes though it will come up with the mode you have selected. I thought it might be software but the same happens when no SD card is in the camera. Any thoughts? Could it be the dial packing up?

Canon EOS Rebel T2i: Canon EOS Rebel T2i doesn't shoot

Hello!

I'm troubleshooting my Canon EOS Rebel T2i and I was wondering if you could spare some advice.

The camera turns on correctly, I can browse the menu and change the photo settings without any issue. At this point, I can also turn the camera off using the power switch.

The problem appears when I take a shot. Regardless if there is a lens installed or not, the screen remains black and the little LED at the bottom-right stays solid red. The camera instantly freezes and ceases to function.

A couple of observations:

The mirror seems to work fine. I can hear the mirror going up and down when I take the shot, and I can physically see the mirror moving when shooting without the lens.

If no memory card is installed, the LED light remains unlit. If present, stays on solid.

Lastly, if the camera freezes, I must remove the battery to turn the camera off. The power switch won't engage.

Do you guys have an idea of the part(s) at fault?

Thanks!
