Canon EOS 80D: What is this part of the LCD screen called? (Canon 80D)

Hi everyone, I recently dropped my 80D on the grass, it had the LCD screen open, and luckily, it keeps working fine, but now doesn’t let me pull it out, as the “rotating” part broke (see photo).

As the screen itself keeps working perfectly well, I was hoping maybe I could get somewhere just this “mount” part, instead of changing the whole thing?

Couldn’t find this replacement part or at leas it’s name anywhere (neither could I find the whole screen kit with this base). Could anyone help?

Thank you very much in advance,

Alex

Canon EOS 80D: Camera doesnt recognize lens after waterdamage

Hello everyone.

So about a week ago my 80D got water into the lower body so I put it in a bag with rice for a week. It helped! Anyway now the camera doesnt recognize the lens anymore. Its attaced properly, fully charged the battery, cleaned the contacts, removed the battery, tried different shooting modes & did a factory reset. Nothing helped.

I acticated shooting without lens but then I get the error that there is no lens and I should turn it off (AF & MF are not working)

Is there anyone out there who could help me? Is the lens broken?

I really dont want to spend a fortune in a canon dealership. I really appreciate any help..

Canon EOS 80D: canon 80D How to fix SD card door and micro switch?

Hi everyone. My Canon 80D just stopped working. First thought were batteries but all fine and didn´t get any signal off LCD panel nor anywhere else. However I have just realized that by touching SD card door and trying to adjust it manually it eventually comes back to life. However don´t know how to fully solve it. I have come across similar problem and perhaps solutions on Canon 70D as it maybe micro switch. Can anybody give me advice? Many thanks
