PowerShot G7 X Mark II: Bought used. Significant liquid damage. Black and green images

I’ve replaced mother board and all corroded ribbon cables. Every thing works except for the images and on the screen is half black and half green. I think the lens’s surrounding electronics got also damaged. Not sure if anyone has this problem.

Hello, I’m using a Canon PowerShot A80 and recently encountered an issue with the camera.

Previously, I could hear a distinct “click” sound when taking photos, but now there is no shutter sound at all. When I try to take pictures, the resulting images are completely black. However, the camera itself still powers on normally, the menu displays correctly, and I can view previously taken photos without any problem.

Because of this, I suspect that the shutter might be stuck closed or not functioning properly. I also tried basic troubleshooting such as restarting the camera, removing the batteries, and testing in different lighting conditions, but the issue persists.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem with this model or similar cameras?

Is this likely a shutter failure, and is there any non-invasive way to fix it without fully disassembling the camera?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

My EOS 30D didn’t shoot with AF on.

First trigger in AF works good.

With manual focus it fires.

without lens , the camera shoots without problems.

if I change the lens , nothing change.

I think the problem is in the camera and not in the lens.

can you help me?

Man sd card got stuck in the camera. When it got pulled out a little piece broke now it says the sd card is locked even though its not.

Canon EOS 40D: My 40D suddenly will not turn on

My 40D was working fine. I did not use it for several days and when I went to use it, it does nothing. No lights, not screens, nothing. Its as if its not turned on. I have checked all the switches in the battery door, replaced the 3v lithium internal battery. I've checked the switches in the card door. I've tried new batteries and new cards. Fully charged multiple batteries using multiple chargers. I've tried it with and without a lens, still it does nothing at all. No lights no displays of any kind. Its as if it just will not power on at all. Canon no longer repairs the 40D and there are no repair shops anywhere near me. The camera just suddenly went dead and does nothing..??

On my Canon A1. When the switch is in "A" position the camera is fully functional. When the switch is moved to "L" position everything still works. When moved to "2" or "10" the shutter delay does not work.

Canon EOS Rebel T3: Mirror is sticking and causing black bar

Hi, Whenever I take a picture there is a black bar blocking most of the image or even just half. Normally this issue would be caused by a failing shutter or the shutter sync but I have determined its the camera getting stuck. When I put the camera down at the ground and take a picture or use live view, the picture is completely clear, when I point the camera up or eye level, the mirror gets stuck halfway, this can be seen with the lens off. Is there any thing I can do to fix this? Is it a bad return spring or some other issue.

I am trying to reconnect the LCD ribbon cable to the motherboard of a Canon PowerShot G7, but I am unable to slide the cable into the connector.

The black locking lever is flipped up, but it feels like there is a physical blockage preventing the cable from entering the "mouth" of the connector. How is it actually meant to go in?
