Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS: Canon Lens Will Not Retract

For context, my friend gave me this ixus 95 (Sd1200) camera to keep, and it said to replace the battery so i charged it up, and it worked fine. When i tried to use the autofocus function, since it was still blurry, it wouldn't work, so i kept trying and eventually the camera effectively crashed, leaving the lens extended, now every time i power it on, it does a couple clicking noises then hands me a lens error. I was looking at the lens and the gap between the lens itself and the casing it a little uneven. I want to know if there is anyway to fix it. (for added context, my friend had it in their room for a while and its been a while since they tried turning it on.

I dont have the specific batteries for the camera and when I put Duracell batteries in the camera the camera turn on and said that change the batteries so I have the question that which specific batteries is used for CANON POWERSHOT A1200

I have just got this camera from Facebook marketplace.

When I met with the seller, upon powering it on, briefly the camera settings (such as ISO and Shutter Speed) could be seen in the viewfinder, however the LCD stayed black. The flash too would work during this time.

Everything that was working:

Camera Settings in the viewfinder
Flash would actuate, not actually flash
Auto-focus

Things that weren't working:

Camera mirror
LCD

I followed the guide to replace the LCD but instead of replacing it, I unplugged and replugged the screen. When assembling it all again, I now have nothing showing, in the viewfinder or LCD. The flash is now no longer working.

Everything now not working:

Flash Actuation
Camera Settings
Auto-focus maybe??
Everything that wasn't working originally

I should also mention I have tested that the lens recieves power with a multimeter. I also checked the LCD and it recieves ~4.5V on what I assume is the main power line for it, other components recieve 3.3V and 1.8V. I have checked the battery too and am getting 7.4V+.

I am not too sure where to look now and would like some pointers on where to look next. In the meantime, I will probably end up tracing all the circuits or checking the viewfinder display to find why that stopped working.

Updated: Things Checked/Done:

Unplugged and replugged all cables on the front panel.
Checked every capacitor/volatile component.
Unplugged and replugged all cables to the motherboard, during this found that the on/off switch ribbon was almost out.
Manually actuated the flash and mirror gearboxes, they reset (and scared me) when reassembled and powered on.
Tried two different batteries, both fully charged.
Tried with and without SD card.

So ich disasembled the lens to clean it and now i cant put it back on. I know that there is secound Ring which has to be lined up so the metal pins can click in but somehow its not alined when I have the Lens out all the way out

I have two batteries both showing 100% on the battery charger. In the camera, I get a blinking battery level with one, and 2 bars with the other. I cleaned the contacts with alcohol. No luck.

The camera was dropped. Trying to figure out if the LCD is showing a backlight. I believe the camera takes pictures just fine.

Before I go buying parts, I'd like to know how to figure out which particular parts are working, like the screen, the cable connecting the screen and motherboard, and maybe even the motherboard.
