I have a similar model, a Vixia HF-S200, and it's lens cover is not opening yet the motor to open it does. I cannot locate screws to remove the lens cover and get to the gear. Can I get a service manual or a step by step guide on how to access said gear assembly?

Canon ZR60: How to fix the glitch camera

I have just bought a canon ZR60A, it works great but the camera somehow have glitches all over, it shows on the lcd screen and the viewfinder. When recording, it records exactly what the screen and the view finder displayed before, which mean the glitch comes from the camera itself, how can I handle this

Canon Camcorder: Know where I can find an internal battery for a Canon Vixia HFM50?

I love my older Canon Vixia HFM50 but the internal battery needs to be replaced. I can't seem to find one at Canon, Amazon, eBay or anywhere else. Anybody know where I can find one? I think it's actually an internal battery board that I need to replace. Thanks in advance.

Hello,

My family gave me an old Canon MD225 camcorder that uses MiniDV tapes. The tape that was in it appears to have about 22mins of footage recorded. However, I cannot play or continue recording, getting 'REMOVE THE CASSETTE' error. When I put a brand new tape in, I also get the same error when I try to record.

Do you think it will need just a headclean?

If the headclean does not work, do you think there may be another issue with it or another way to get it working?

Shutter covering lenses will not open? Camcorder powers up, turns on, looks like it’s ready for use, but there is no picture because the shutters are closed. It has actually only been used once. Any idea if this issue can be fixed?

here is my problem my camera dropped and now I hear like some motor is stuck inside where lense is. The camera wont turn off unless I remove battery but when I place battery in I can turn on and the stuck motor start again. How cn I take appart the cover around lense to see what is going on?

Canon Vixia HF R500: Canon Vixia HF R500 is recording footage with a purple tint

I’m not entirely sure what to at this point, or what troubleshooting steps need to be taken past what I have done so far. Despite everything I’ve tested, my device has been recording in purple, and I cannot figure out why.

I’ve tried factory resetting the device, changing SD cards, swapping the battery, and even plugging my camera into an external monitor to ensure that this wasn’t an issue with the built in display itself. So far I cannot come up with an answer for why this device has decided to record in purple.

Any theroy’s or answers would be much appreciated.

I forgot to add I did search Google to see if anyone else had this issue with this specific product. While I have not found anything involving this product specifically, I did see that other cameras have had this issue when their night vision mode is on, although I don't believe that this camera has any such mode that would be on even after a factory reset.

my canon xa10 won't charge or turn on. i've only had it for a little over a year, but i haven't used it for about six months. i recently took it out to charge the batteries but, when i plugged it in the charge light came on for a second, and the camera made the power up noise, but then it just shut off and now it won't do anything. i'm hoping it's just a problem with the power cord.
