Canon AE-1 Program: Why does my Canon AE-1 Program lever jam after 20 exposures?

I just got my ae1 program and I’ve used 2 rolls of 36 exposure film. Yet when I take my 20th picture and I try to advance the lever it feels as if it becomes jammed and the lever won’t budge. I’m able to rewind the film but because of this I’m losing 15+ exposures.

Canon AE-1 Program: How to replace the top mirror

I was given Canon AE-1 is a 35 mm single-lens reflex (SLR) film camera .

After cleaning the casing; I opened up the camera to find dust and a huge scratch on the top mirror. Is this mirror replaceable? What is the cost? Is it worth replacing?

Canon AE-1 Program: Constant beeping when camera is on and any button is pressed

I have been using the canon ae-1 program for a few weeks now with no issues. However, today when I tried to take a photo, I could not. When I switch the camera on (to either the A or S setting) and then press any button - the shutter, light reader, battery check, etc. The camera just begins to beep constantly. I cannot take a photo with the sutter, advance the film, or see a lightreading though the viewfinder. The only way to get the beeping to stop is to switch the camera back off, to the L setting.

I have read a few things saying the battery check button might be stuck down - i can press it down, but am not sure if it is coming all the way back up or to a middle stage.

any help would be greatly appreciated!!
