Cambridge SoundWorks OontZ Angle Plus: Can't get my Oontz Angle 3 Plus to stay on without holding the button

When I tried to turn on my Oontz, it would turn off as soon as I stopped pressing the power button. The red light was flashing rapidly, so I tried charging it. I don't know if maybe the cord is being unresponsive, and that is why it wont stay on, cause it is uncharged, but I don't understand why it wouldn't be charging. It has never been used in water and is fairly new.

Thanks

Cambridge SoundWorks OontZ Angle Plus: Will not power on, but I’ve checked…

The power will not turn on.

The battery was checked, it charges and holds a charge at 4.17 VDC. Battery voltage was rechecked at the wires soldered to the motherboard and still present.

The power button was checked at the connection to the motherboard with the connection removed (end of ribbon/wires to the buttons). From left to right, ribbon/wires facing up, wire 3 to 5 read OL when power button was not pressed, then 7.89 Mohms when power button was pressed. Wire 1 to 5 read OL when power button was not pressed, then 0.6 ohms when power button was pressed. Not sure if both are normal operations.

Below is a table of readings at the button wiring ribbon.

Wire -Wire // Not Pressed / Pressed / Button

1 -2 // 0.4 ohms / 0.4 ohms / NO BUTTONS INVOLVED

1 -5 // OL / 0.6 ohms / POWER

1 -6 // OL / 0.4 ohms / VOLUME +

1 -7 // OL / 0.4 ohms / VOLUME -

3 -5 // OL / 7.89Mohms / POWER

3 -6 // OL / 7.89Mohms / VOLUME +

3 -7 // OL / 7.89Mohms / VOLUME -

8 -10 // OL / 9.9Kohms / BLUETOOTH

9 -10 // OL / 9.9kohms / PLAY & PAUSE

Perhaps there is a PCB issue at the buttons, or more likely the main motherboard?
