Cadillac '96 2dr LTD

My fuel door and trunk lid are requiring about 20 attempts to open with both the remote and interior buttons. This began all of a sudden. Anybody know a fix?

Cadillac DeVille: 2000-2005 CadillacDeville cigarette lighters not working

I replaced all 3 power window motors and regulators except drivers window and now I can't get any of the cigarette lighters to work. Sometimes the cigarette lighter light comes on and sometimes it don't, light on or off, lighter does not work, fuses are good under back seat ?

Got two blocks away during snow storm this week end, it was 9 degrees, go to turn a corner, engine chugs twice and dies in the middle of the intersection. No battery power at all. Am I correct in assuming that the cat will continue running without a battery once it is running , could this be a battery cable? The car had cranked just fine just minutes prior to this happening. Fortunately a couple of guys pushed it to the curb for me. I don't know that much about auto mechanics. But I know how to research and use Google. Went back to fix it today and still totally dead, can't even lock the doors. I think it's the fusible link from what I can research but I wanted to get another opinion like from @lpfaff1 before getting my lilly white hands all grubby ;-(

I contacted Auto Zone and that was like talking to an Apple Genius. He was trying to sell me a fuse. I found this but do not know which one to get for a 1996 Cadillac ElDorado LTD. Anyone knowledgable about this?

UPDATE 1/12/16

Put in a new high end battery and it cranked right up and I got it home. NEW PROBLEM - I'm getting no charge to the battery. The alternator belt is a serpentine and appears good. I'd like to look for a cheap wiring problem before I even think about replacing the alternator, at my age, that's a visit to the dealer. @lpfaff1

UPDATE 3/3/16

The new battery and alternator helped. Then I found myself at the grocery store with a dead car. Turned out there was a corroded battery connection tab that was only allowing partial charging.

1992-2002 Cadillac Eldorado: Diagnosing Driver Side Power Window issue

The driver side window has slowly gone out. I replaced the switch. Passenger side window operates fine using the new switch. Drivers side seems to try to engage and moves 1/8th of an inch. For a while it would go up and down sometimes. Now it is not working except it appears it is getting a power signal. My thought would be a failed window front motor but thought I would ask before replacing using this guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6vyEs4H...

But as autos are not my forte I thought I would ask first.

Or do I need the relay?

When to the store and returned to the car. Door was not locked, but I remember hitting the lock button on my keychain. I opened the trunk first with no problem. When I opened the door the horn started honking. Started the car and it continued. Stopped, put in park, opened and closed the trunk. Started driving home with it still going. Tires look good, didn't see any parking lot damage. Got home parked shut it off got out and it started honking again. The remote will not lock the door. Any ideas on what to look for?

1996 Caddy. Turn signals will operate intermittently. Sometimes I get one flash, sometimes none, a minute later they are working just fine. All bulbs appear to be working. I prefer problems that are all or none, this lazy light stuff drives me nuts. I think to problem may be with the flasher but have no idea of how to fix it.

1999 Cadillac ETC

I have an electronics background, so after my mechanic

keep my car over four months, and then gave up trying

to fix it, i got the prints and started checking it myself.

First thing I noticed is that there are many plug in relays

that have the id of omron 8567, and all these relays have

had the 87a pin cut off, which would allow someone to

plug in backwards. I can't find documentation to show what

the correct orientation should be. Can you help me out?

Originally the fuse for interior lights was missing causing none of them to work, replaced it and all of them came on and are stuck on. Door lights, roof lights, pull down mirror lights, all stuck on.

If I click the click-able lights such as above the door then that light will go off while I have it pressed down but resumes on when let go.
