Brother MFC-440CN: "Error 46 clean impossible", anyone has idea of what it means?

At machine start up the message ""Error 46 clean impossible" appears.

user's guide says it is a generic mechanical problem, but there's nothing wrong inside.

Could be the printing head to be replaced?

Brother MFC-440CN: What causes Unable to print 51 error?

Brother MFC 440CN will not print, copy, scan, fax or turn off by the power button; have to physically unplug. When trying to print it acts as if it is going to before the errir pops up. Checked all possible areas for paper jam. It sounds as if the print head is not engaging not totally sure. Ink volume is fine.

Brother MFC-440CN: Clear "paper jam" message

On a MFC-4420DW I'm attempting to print business cards on Avery stock through the rear, single sheet feed tray. Data transfer from PC is very slow, and when printing begins only the first quarter of image prints and sheet exits printer. Thereafter I get a Paper Jam message. I have followed the "clear paper jam" instructions several times, referred to online instructions, used a letter-sized sheet of glossy photo paper for the "remove paper scraps" function, but printer does not grab the sheet. I have closely searched the inside of the printer for scraps and can't find a thing. How can I clear the error message so I can use my printer again?! Frustrated!

There is no paper jammed but I have noticed the laser does not want to move. How can we get that fixed?
