Brother PT-210: Brother PT-D210 Won’t Turn On After Inserting New Batteries

Hi everyone,

I just got a Brother PT-D210 label maker, and I’m having trouble getting it to work. I installed a fresh set of AA batteries (6 in total), but the machine either won’t turn on at all or only powers on for a second before shutting off.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

Used brand new alkaline batteries (tried different brands too)

Checked the battery compartment for any dirt or corrosion – it looks clean

Made sure all batteries were installed in the correct direction

Pressed and held the power button firmly

I haven’t tried using a power adapter yet since I don’t have the original one. I’m wondering if a 9V 1.6A adapter with center-positive polarity would work as a replacement.

Has anyone had this issue before? Any suggestions or fixes I could try? I’d really appreciate your help!

Thanks in advance!

Brother P-Touch H107: P-Touch H107: not printing, only blank labels coming out

Problem

I have a P-Touch H107 which is mainly similar to the PT-1010.

Product picture:

All of a sudden this P-Touch didn't print any text on the label anymore. It is feeding out the label when I hit the print button, but not printing text on it (see picture below).

What I have tried

Cleaning the print head and rollers > No effect (actually, they didn't look dirty.

Put in 2 different bale-cassettes to try > No difference / No effect.

Changed batteries to new > No effect.

Observation

When looking inside the device, I noticed there is a small block with 4 pins that can be pushed inwards. I believe this is the sensor for detecting the type of label cassette used in the P-Touch. In mine, one of the pins seems to be stuck inside, not coming out. I am not sure of this has to do with my issue, but I take this into account.

Picture of cassette sensor & one pin down:

Cassette sensor as part in exploded view:

Questions

What can I do to solve my problem?

If the sensor block is the problem and needs to be replaced, where can I get the part?

Brother PT-D200: My unit wont turn on

I already replaced the ac adapter with a new one and the machine still won't turn on. I don't use the unit with batteries at all as it drains the batteries very quickly.

the screen remains blank. any suggestions?

Update

so i tested it out today with batteries and the unit turned on! Which makes me think something is wrong with the metal prong that attaches to the adapter. I also tested my adapter with my dvd player and it worked. So now I know what the problem is but can this be fixed? It looks fine to me; is not loose or broken.

Brother Label Maker: PT-E300 labels come out blank after removal of stuck cartridge

The printer has a stuck cartridge, I removed it. A spring and a roller were found dislodged. I pushed the roller back into its bracket but the spring didn’t go back all the way. I couldn’t see how to stow the tail of the spring. As the head still moved in and out; I trimmed the spring so the cartridge wouldn’t get stuck again. Now the PT-E300 will see the cartridge and will “act” like it’s working. The label comes out blank. I have tried a new cartridge with the same results.
