Breville: Trying to remove the top cover on a Breville Oracle

Hi All,

In all the videos and instructions I have seen there are two Phillips head screws underneath the top cover next to the group head and the steam wand, on my machine I have two security screws instead.

Is there a tool I can get to remove these screws?

Picture of screws attached.

Breville: Why is my coffee machine tripping my switch

Hi, I have a Breville BES870 espresso machine purchased in Australia. I have been back in the UK 18 months and it has been working perfectly up until a couple of weeks ago.

I started to get no steam, then no water coming through and finally the machine was tripping the fuse box.

Can you advise where I could get this repaired?

Many thanks

Brevile Barista Express: Machine trips RCD when turning on

I've used my Breville (US) Barista Express successfully in the UK using a transformer. I've just moved houses, and now every time I try to turn on the machine, it trips my RCD. How can I diagnose/fix this?

Couple of observations:
- The transformer works, it turns on/off without problem when nothing is plugged in, and also powers a Breville toaster oven just fine
- If the transformer is in its "off" position (but the main switch is on), the RCD trips from just plugging the machine into the transformer
- If it's in the "on" position, the RCD trips from trying to turn on the machine. For a brief moment initially, the machine turned on this way but tripped the RCD when trying to brew, and now it trips even when turning on

Any help appreciated to diagnose this!

Grinder does not come on at all for my bdc650BSS. It has been fully cleaned, descaled, reset, calibrated. I’m not sure where to go from here. It may be the actual motor. LED light will blink or go out occasionally and then we unplug and plug it back in to get it working. Also, we can only make 9 cups of coffee at a time because when we fill it to 12 the LED screen will blink and go out sometimes.

Breville Dual Boiler BES900 - BES900XL: Water not coming out of shower head/no pressure

I got the Breville BES900 XL given to me for free because the machine would turn on, heat up, and act like everything was fine but no water would come out when you try to pull a shot. It would sound like it was trying to but nothing happened.

So I started researching and found that a super common issue is the solenoid valve. Being a previous barista I know that if you don't clean these machines properly and frequently you will have calcium build up that will clog and corrode the parts. As expected, when I opened up the machine the solenoid valve had corroded. I bought the new one and went to replace it. The screws on the valve were so corroded that they snapped in half when I tried to remove them. So I took a pilot driver and drilled out the screws then replaced the valve. Still had the same problems.

So I assumed it could've been a clogged line somewhere. I took all of the hoses off and the pressure valve and cleaned them out. They all had some gross residue in them. I reassembled them and hoped that this would solve the issue. If it did, I wouldn't be writing this here...lol

Now I am back to square one except it's worse. My water won't heat up past 160 and typically you can hear it boiling the water and I no longer can past like 120. I've taken apart the shower head and cleaned it. I'm at a loss on what to do next. I'm not sure what other avenues to take or what to replace. I'm not the type to give up and I know it's something I just need to clean or replace but I'm not sure what I should do next or a way I can check parts to make sure I don't replace something that's working fine.

If anyone has any advice please let me know! I really would appreciate it!
