Braun Series 3: How do I replace a pin on series 3 shaver

My shaver is missing a pin on one side which causes half of the foil to stay flat. It has lost it's spring. I have another shaver for parts. How do I attach the pin?

Batteries could be dead, it's been in storage for years. However, I'd expect it to work even when plugged into a power outlet.

Neither LED lights up.
Pressing the power button does nothing.

It never fell or anything, just stopped working years ago and I didn't have the time to check if I can fix it.

Any ideas where I should start?

The batteries contacts are soldered to the board. How do i get them off without breaking the contact parts? and how do i get them to stick onto the new batteries? (I don’t have a soldering iron)

My shaver doesn't want to turn on in regular mode. However if I unplug it, it will run for a short while and then the battery runs out. What I can do often is to push out the beard trimmer and it will run that way until eventually it warms up enough for me to retract the beard trimmer and it will run in the regular shaving mode.
