Braun Razor: How to tear down a Braun 4509 razor?

I have a 25+ year old classic Braun razor, model 4509, which doesn't turn on anymore, even when the power cable is connected and I want to open the shaver for battery replacement.

I already found some guides which show that there are some round little plastic cover that hide 2 screws and I was able to remove those and the screws.

There is also some kind of turnable area where the power cord is plugged in and when I turned this about 90 degrees with some metal spatula, the device sprung partly open, but I cannot open it any further. Also the back part is still completly fixed. Does anyone know how to do tear down this razor?

Braun Razor: Anyone Else Having Battery Problems with the Braun CoolTec Razor?

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone here might be able to help. I have an old Braun CoolTec electric razor I believe it's the CT2s model that's about 10 years old, and I'm looking to replace the battery because it got to the point that it only charges enough to give me 3 or 4 minutes tops of shaving time.

I've examined the device pretty thoroughly but can't seem to find any visible screws. The only access point I found is at the bottom where there is a little slot for a flat screwdriver to be inserted but when I insert one and try to use some force in any direction nothing really moves and it feels like the plastic around is going to brake. Has anyone ever opened one of these up and successfully swapped out the battery?

Any advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Braun Series 7 790cc-7: Braun 5764 Series 7 Flex Shaver shows red power light

Braun shaver keeps showinng a blinking red power plug light. According to the manual, i should unplug the power cable or fully charge the battery.

The battery is fully charged and the power cable is unplugged but the red light remains. Pressing the power button for approx 10 seconds does not fix it.

I've tried opening it up but don't see anything immediately apparently wrong. I'm no technician so maybe I didn't see something obvious. I've tried charging using the cleaning station and although the shaver does spin while in the cleaning station, the same thing happens again when I remove it. The battery is pretty much brand new (the shaver is 3 months old but is not covered under warranty as it's a retail display model).

Every now and then it shows the battery charge level at full and it works briefly and then immediately stops working again.

Braun 5514: Braun 5513 Stopped working after charge.

I’ve just had my second Braun 5513 stop working after (I believe) the first charge after using a few times. Both trimmers seemed to be working well with normal battery discharge and would still power on before I plugged them in. However, when I tried to turn on after sever hours of charging, there was no motor action at all. I should note that the same charger was used both times, so maybe it’s frying something but I can’t think of what else it may be. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks
