Bose Soundlink Revolve: Any way to manually charge battery?

I've taken apart the speaker and got to the battery. I had the classic orange light flashing but won't turn on. Tried everything. All the updates etc but no luck. Theres 0v being fed in when charging so assume the chip is telling the battery not to charge.

I can pay £15 for a new battery off Ali express or I can try and manually charge it. I wondered if anyone had any experience of doing this/is it a bad idea?

Here's the battery inside ATM

Bose Soundlink Revolve: Bose Soundlink Revolve Won't Charge + No Working MicroUSB Port

Hi there! My dad has a Bose Soundlink Revolve speaker, and recently the micro-USB port was broken. (Part of it got stuck inside the charger, somehow) (pictured below). I bought a charging cradle to see if it would still charge that way (with a microUSB cable of mine to connect) but it doesn’t seem to want to charge on there, no lights appear.

I have reset it and restored it to factory settings but neither of which seem to work, even when it's on the charging cradle & turned on, the battery light flashes red.

I can’t update it via the website because there’s no way to plug in a microUSB charger directly into the speaker.

Is there any hope of fixing this or should we bite the bullet and buy another speaker?

Thanks in advance.

Bose Soundlink Revolve: Non functional Bose Revolve

Hi there,

My Bose Revolve no longer functions due to the last drop, upon dissaembly I have found on the motherboard ( bottom circuit board that there is a chip/crack on one of the fuse's, I am assuming it is a fuse). I am quite certain that it is the source for a non functional device.

Would any one be able to confirm my assumption?

I have pondered as if it was the origin of the issue, that a simple dab of glue or silicone would seal the broken part, thus creating ground and would giveth life?

I have not scoured the net as of yet but would anyone have a an idea of where to find a working motherboard for purchase?

Bose Soundlink Revolve: All LEDs on, No response

I have a Bose Soundlink Revolve+ and I recently got it really dirty and washed it off while playing music. Nothing was wrong and I continued use for over an hour even after drying it completely off, including the charging and aux ports cleared right after wash with CO². After playing music another 1.25hrs, I shut off the speaker and plugged it in to charge. The battery light flashed amber as it is supposed to, but after 30 min of charging it suddenly made the “power disconnect” tone and was stuck unresponsive with power, BT, and aux Led indicators on. What's the problem and how can I try to fix this? This unit is ~1.5 years old and past warranty by now…..

Bose Soundlink Revolve: Battery failing on a Bose Soundlink Revolve

I’ve got a two-year-old Bose Soundlink Revolve portable speaker with a 12-hour battery. I always keep it plugged in; it’s in my office on a shelf. It occasionally announces, “The battery is at 100%” or “The battery is at 90%,” etc. Recently, this percentage has been dropping rapidly and is now down to 30%. The Bose manual, website and other sources just say to “Replace the battery.” But they don’t say how. There’s no obvious route into the insides of the speaker — entirely apart from the fact that I don’t get why I should have to replace a battery that’s always been plugged in. What gives? I’ve switched to several different wall outlets with no change. Nothing in the speaker or cable LOOKS damaged either. Any ideas? Thank you — George S. (Harpswell, Maine)
