Bose Soundlink Mini II: Sound link mini 2 not turning on after using the wrong charger

Hi everyone, hoping someone here can help me out.

I made the mistake of using a LiPo battery charger on my Bose SoundLink Mini 2 and it hasn’t worked properly since. I think it has damaged the charge controller or possibly the main board.

I have already replaced the battery and boost PCB board (part number 088772) with a brand new one but nothing has changed. I tried doing a firmware update through btu.bose.com but the computer won’t detect the speaker through the micro USB port. I have also tried multiple button reset combinations including holding the power button for 30 seconds and the forced firmware sequence A, D, V, Up Arrow, Down Arrow but none of it has worked. I have left it on wall charge for a good while too.

At the moment the only thing it does is flash yellow when I hold the multifunction button while connected to power. The computer doesn’t detect it at all through micro USB even with a known data cable. The gold charging contacts seem fine and the PCB looks clean with no burn marks or anything obviously wrong with it.

What I really want to know is whether there is any kind of hardware level reset possible on the main board, and whether this could be a blown charging IC or fuse that someone could identify and replace. Also wondering if the main board itself is replaceable.

Any advice would be really appreciated, I’d love to save this speaker if at all possible. Thanks

Bose Soundlink Mini II: SoundLink Mini II Don't Turn On

Hi people. I have a problem with your product. Bose SoundLink Mini II won't turn on. When I plug the USB into the speaker, it flashes green once. I tried to give it a charge for the night, nothing works. I tried to do an update, but it doesn't see my speaker connected to different USB ports and different USB cables (including the original). I tried to do a Reset, but it doesn't react in any way. When I tried to turn on the Ship mode at ten seconds of holding the multifunction button, it started flashing green, and when I unplug the USB and left it on for a minute and then let it charge for one hour, it still won't turn on.

Bose Soundlink Mini II: Yellow battery indicator keeps flashing yellow

My 2 year old and rarely used SoundLink II keeps flashing the yellow charging indicator. Battery level is at about 40%, and it’s working properly.

I can’t set it to ship mode, as it immediately thinks it’s charging after holding the function button and removing the power supply.

Also a factory reset did not help.

When connecting to a charger, it will draw 500mA (the charger could provice about 2A).
