Bose SoundLink Mini: Bose SoundLink Mini 1st Gen - Original Battery# 061384 Availability

None of the replacement batteries offered on IFixit match what I have in my 1st Gen Soundlink Mini. The battery that is in my unit is Part Number 061384.

Does anyone know if the batteries offered on IFixit are interchangeable with the 061384?

My Bose SoundLink mini is not turning on. when i connect to the charger the orange light indicates that's its charging. but when i turn off the charger and try to switch on my speaker, nothing happens. i also tried to reset my speaker, but no luck. what should i do ??

Now after 24 hours of charging, it doesnt switch on.

once i turn on the charger, these 3 white lights on my speaker turn on for a second and turn off.

after that it indicates red light even when the charger is turned on.

Bose SoundLink Mini: Unit dies even when plugged in

New battery. Did a full factory reset. In about an hour and a half while using while plugged in it just dies and then recharges. Trying to see if there's anything I can do before I just brick it.

After some quick diagnostics resulting from a battery that would no longer charge (flashing red power LED) when charging adapter connected, I figured the battery was shot and would no longer charge as the voltage was likely below the system threshold.

After installing a new battery ordered from ifixit, all of the LED lights come on. When I plug in the power adapter, the battery does not appear to be charging and ll light remain illuminated until I remove the battery.

Hello everyone, I'd like to inquire regarding the previous solution given by another user in another blog

In short, OP bought a 12VDC to 7.5VDC buck converter, gutted the battery, then connected the output to the respective pins onto the battery base, which was then attached. The input used was the original wall plug included with the speaker, wired through the charging dock.

So I bought an LM2596 buck converter with a display to set the output voltage, looks just like the image I have attached, and then set it to 7.5 volts

I then wired everything just like OP did, and the speaker did actually boot up and connected to bluetooth. However, it would just shut down after about a minute of playback. I've tried it several times, also tried to factory reset it by holding the mute button, but it would still power off after about 1 minute of playback. When it powers off, I'm not able to turn it back on until I unplug and replug the whole circuit again (I'm using the original wall plug included with the speaker).

Does anyone have a solution for this? A replacement battery is quite expensive for me so this seemed like a really good solution.

I'd also like to add that when the circuit it plugged in but not turned on, after the same time it would take to shut off (1 minute) the battery icon would start flashing red.

The unit was not powering up, and I learned how to reset it - by holding down the mute button for ten seconds - and it's now fully charged again, I think. But the announcement about how much battery power is left has not returned. It used to announce this every time it was turned on. Can anyone help?

The AUX connection, which was working fine just a few days ago, suddenly is extremely quiet, to the point where having the speaker turned all the way up and the computer I use it with turned all the way up I can barely hear it. My mini SoundLink shuts down, sometimes I can play for an hour before it dies, sometimes just minutes.
All the symbols light up for a second or so then it turns off, I start it again and then it can be on for anything from 5 seconds to an hour before it does the same thing again, anyone experienced the same error?

Got given my aunts Bose Soundlink Mini 2. Will power on and connect to any device and run as normal. But will not make any sound. Will not make power on sound, bluetooth connect sound, nothing. The media button will work to pause, skip etc but the device won't make any noise. I have tried reseting it and restarting it but has not changed anything.
