Bose SoundDock: Resolve Bose SoundDock white noise issue?

Hi! I recently got a Bose SoundDock 1 for really cheap and it happens to have a problem that I have no idea how to resolve. When music is playing at low levels from my iPod, white sound is clearly audible. Sometimes, the problems is resoved by plugging the power cable in and out. How would I fix this?

Side note: Im using a newer iPod that firewire doesnt support (sound works but iPod doesnt charge).

My SoundDock has no sound, no Aux, no Ipod. AUX and Ipod lights flash intermittently when I turn on the speaker.

Any advice?

Bose SoundDock: Stripped dc power cable and port

Due to frivolous use of the soundDock the cable and port that power the device have become warn. The connection between the two is only maintained through careful taping and the occasional ‘jimmy’ (slightly moving the cord). the attached image bosePowerConnect shows the power cord side. i probably will buy a new power cord if there is a way to fix the port as shown in image bosePowerConnect1. How can i fix this port ? bosePowerConnect1.HEIC bosePowerConnect

Where the power cord goes in to the unit seems to be loose and it takes constant fiddling to get consistant power input

I recently bought a Bose SoundDock Series II at a thrift store for cheap because it was missing its power cable. I bought a power cable on eBay and plugged it in. The green power light on the front of the machine flashes briefly but there are no beeps or any sound at all from the speakers. I replaced the sound processor board next, but it hasn’t made any difference. Any ideas what to check next?

The DC power cable to the rear of the speaker has been damaged. It appears to be part of the dock and not readily removable. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement cable and if so how I can reconnect/repair this?

Connection does not work with ipod. Aux cable works fine so the speaker itself is ok. Jus the docking connection to an ipod no longer works. I have unassembled the docking board portion through instructions found on this site. No luck finding the issue however. I have tried other ipod products to see if it was the ipod itself but no kuck there either.

When I plug the piece into the speaker it lights up but when I turn the volume up or down it’s supposed to light up but it doesn’t. And the music isn’t playing.
