Bose QuietComfort 2: Stirrup brackets attatching phones to swivel broke

The stirrup that holds the ear cup and attaches it to the swivel on the headband is broken. I cannot find a repairpart anywhere.

Short of casting a mould and making one myself whats to be done?

Rant:

I recieved these as a gift. The sturrup broke in less than a year.

bold text

How can a company charge 200 bucks, or is it 289, and build it with such inferior parts. These sturrips are plastic, and none too thick. Grrrrrr

Bose QuietComfort 2: Why can't I replace the batteries in my Bose QuietComfort headphones?

Hi. Last time I tried to replace the batteries in my Bose QC 15 headphones the battery inside was stuck and it was really hard to remove it. Once I wanted to introduce a new one, it wouldn't fit in either. I tried with different batteries (old ones, the ones I had at the moment, new ones from a different brand) but none would fit in the battery hole. This never happened to me before in the last 4 years I've had this headphones, so it must be caused by something altering the battery's path. Any ideas of what the cause or solution may be?

note: the actual model I have is QC 15, its just that QC2 included a picture on the post, so i thought it would be more clear this way.

Thanks :)

Bose QuietComfort 2: Battery or wiring seems fried by a power surge Bose Quietcomfort 20 ea

I had a perfectly good set of Bose Quietcomfort 20 ear buds, battery working well, charging quickly and lasting ages.

Whilst in Thailand and charging the battery there was an electrical storm and a power outage (presume surge).

When I tried to use the headphones there's no charge in the battery and it won't charge.

There's no noise reduction when I turn them on.

The green charging light comes on when they're plugged in but even then there's no noise reduction.

As soon as I unplug from the power the green light goes off and the battery is dead.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
