Bose QuietComfort 25: qc25 headphone wire jack does not connect

Hi, I have a qc25 headphones and yesterday my audio cable no longer connects to the earcup and stay connected, I notice the small piece that it is supposed to connect to, is lose and seemed to have been "pushed" out of it's plastic holder.

Is there any way to fix this?

thanks

amit

Hi, the part that connects to the end of the audio cable seems to have been disconnected from the plastic piece that holds it together to the ear cup, allowing the male connector to the female connector. I can hear it rattling around, but I can not take everything apart to reach it. Seems to need a special tool to connect it while screwing the plastic piece.

see images; sorry it is very hard to take a picture of it, as it is internal and hard to get the light in there.

Bose QuietComfort 25: Source for procuring quality replacement speaker for QC25

I have the same problem as described here: How toReplace broken speaker for QC25.

In short, the speaker on my right died.

The question is where to buy the replacement part. It seems that this part is available on eBay for a range of prices, which warns me for cheap replacement parts.

I am looking for a source for a quality replacement part, in order not force me to replace (=downgrade) the other, currently working side at the same time.

Bose QuietComfort 25: Noise cancelling more pressure in one ear

Has anyone ever experienced an imbalance with the noise cancelling function?

My headset otherwise works perfectly fine for audio, but when I turn on the noise cancelling function, recently it feels like there's more pressure in one ear than the other. I know this is the headset too because it works when I switch ears with it.

From what I can tell too, the issue is made worse in a place with a lot of loud deep noise like a bus.

Edit: This unit is almost 6-7 years old now since I bought it around 2017-2018. So no warranty is likely available.

Bose QuietComfort 25: How to resolve crackling after moisture exposure in QC25's

Hello!

Currently, I’m getting very occasional— but nonetheless annoying—crackling in the earpieces of my Bose QuietComfort 25 noise-cancelling headphones. This followed a period of exposure to damp air in my canvas bag when I was unavoidably caught in wet weather. (Note: the headphones didn’t get wet.)

The crackling can be heard only with noise cancelling switched on. However, it isn’t caused by the noise cancellation and is is sporadic, occurring in the cans independently of each other. Nor does it matter whether the headphones are playing music, are plugged in, etc. The sound is how you might imagine that of a very sensitive microphone being brushed lightly with a piece of cotton wool. It usually lasts for a few minutes at a time.

The headphones have been like this for about six weeks. My guess is that moisture has gotten into the microphone compartments for the noise-cancelling system and that what I’m hearing is the amplified sound of water evaporating, but I could be wrong. I’d have hoped any moisture would’ve evaporated by now and the problem resolved itself.

So far, I’ve disassembled the cans (as far as I can without having to loosen any glue) and left them above a radiator, whilst also hoping to speed things along with light wafts of a hair-drier and a vacuum cleaner nozzle hovered over the outer microphones.

Does anyone know how this problem can be fixed? As a last resort, I could buy a spares / repairs set and replace the microphones.

Thanks for reading.
