In the 90 deg lock the saw is not cross cutting square, how can this be adjusted?

Bosch Miter Saw GCM12SD 2015: Speed change after replacing blade

I put a new, compatible, saw blade in my GCM12SD miter saw. Since then the saw is slower to spin up and slower to spin down. Is this normal? Is it a symptom of over tightening the new blade? The saw appears to cut normally once at full speed.

Counterbores around fence hold down nuts are too small to allow a standard socket to seat down on the nuts. Help!! Please!!
