Boat: Hurricane FD 218 OB deck boat square tube bimini part discontinued

I contacted Hurricane boats, trying to acquire info on a part that broke on my father"s bimini. But their info only goes back as far as 2008 and the boat is a 2003.

> The part is from a 2003 Hurricane deck boat by Godfrey, on the ez(easy put up or take down) bimini

>

> 2003 Hurricane Deck boat, by Godfrey

>

> Model: FD 218 OB

The part was discontinued by Hurricane and no aftermarket version exists, though Bennington has a black version but it is too thick to fit in my 1inch square tubed bimini frame.

I don’t know if the images will show up, but I am looking for someone who has one or more or any ideas on finding them. My father wants an earnest attempt to find the parts before we try other ways to remedy the problem. Thanks. Jimmy

Boat: 1997 Yamaha 9.9 outboard starting/stalling problem

My 1997 Yamaha 9.9 outboard was running fine. Turned it off for a few minutes and it started hard. The next day it started hard but was ok at idle for a few minutes. Turned it off and tried to start it. Would only start if I gave it full throttle and would stall unless I throttled way up.

Boat: Why am I not getting any charge current on my solar controler?

Hi people,

can anyone help……

have a 15ft boat with two batteries. i used to use a couple of trickle charge solar panels, the kind yo get from maplin(oblong plastic red led) i got fed up of having to change them every 12months…water gettin in them ect. Despite these problems, the alwase did there job & when they were working my batteries were always good.

I decided to upgrade them & bought x2 12v 10w solar panels….and x2 12v 10a controlers.

ive wired them directly to each battery independanly.

In daytime iget 20.0v from each panel but on the controllers ive never seen more than 0.1A. batteries are normaly around the 12v mark but today(after the frost) theyve dropped below 12v.

One is a 46ah the other a 70ah

im getting a bit confused with Amps, Watts & Volts?

would upping the cotroller to a 20a increse the charge curent?

ive bipassed the controllers for a test temparely.

think the small ones i used to use where only 2.5w & worked fine.

Would greatly appriciate any help on this as am a bit stuck.

THANK YOU
