Sony Blu-ray player: 110V vs 240V compatibility?

I need a Blu-ray player capable of reading A-zone discs in Europe. It seems there is no Blu-Ray zone unlock for most models, so I am considering purchasing a dedicated BR player on eBay. I realize there is a 110 vs 220 V difference, so I'm generally looking into AC adapter-equipped models, and it seems that Sony uses them the most. However, the US models come with 110V AC to 12V DC adapters instead of the customary 110-240V AC to 12 V DC. I understand that Sony PS consoles from the US can take 220V despite 110V markings. Can anyone verify if this also applies to any particular BR player or whether Sony AC adapters are in fact 110-240V?

Samsung Blu-Ray Player: Samsung Blu-Ray player not working

I have a Samsung Blu-Ray player model # BD-J5100/ZA. It will not play any of my Blu-Ray discs. It WILL play regular DVD's

I have tried the following:

A) With machine turned on, I unplugged it from the wall outlet and waited 5 minutes.

This did not help.

B) With machine turned on, I held down the "eject disc" button for 8 seconds. This

took me to multiple steps to reset the machine. I followed all the prompts and

I eventually got a message, The player has been reset to factory defaults.

This did not work either.

It seems that the player "THINKS" it is connected to the internet. It is not connected to the internet. Could this be possible ?

I DO HAVE wifi. Could the player somehow be affected by the wifi ?

Please help me. I'm out of ideas. Thank you.

Panasonic Blu-Ray Player: Won't play Blu Ray disks anymore, only DVDs

My Blu-ray player will no longer play Blu-ray discs. It tries to read it, and then just stops and this message appears on the screen: "Cannot Read, please check the disk". But, It plays DVDs just fine -- no problem at all. I have tried older Blu-rays from as far back as 2007. Today, I even opened a brand new Blu-ray disk -- never played before. And the same thing happened. Could there be something wrong with whatever technology is specific to playing Blu-ray disks?

Blu-Ray Player: OPPO BDP-93 powers on and freezes at "OPPO" on screen

OPPO BDP-93 Blu-ray player

Symptoms:

Connecting the power cord the red standby light comes on.

Pressing the power button (or remote) and the light changes to blue, unit screen displays “HELLO” then “OPPO , but no “Home Menu”.

TV displays the Blu-ray splash screen but that is all.

Blu-ray drive spins up, laser head moves, does a brief “search” and tray can be opened and closed with button or remote.

Fibre optic light is on.

After 15 or 20 seconds everything freezes even on/off button.

The on/off button must be pressed and held for about 40 to 50 seconds before it shut unit off. At least at first. Now it is longer than a minute before shutting off.

Further Steps:

Disconnected the “Region Free” hardware board, isolated analogue board and Blu-ray drive from power board and from the main circuit board.

Same result with lights and unit screen and TV screen.

Checked laser inside disc drive - works fine.

Unable to find any schematics or repair manuals or parts. The only OPPO Digital ( not to be confused with OPPO phones) service centre still in operation is in the USA and requires shipping the unit from here to USA and then back. No one locally repairs them.

They offered a few suggestions like unplugging from mains and holding power button for 5 seconds, releasing, reconnecting power, directly plugged into power point on wall, etc.
