So I'm going to buy a blackberry 9700 from a friend of my. The LCD is broken, and I've seen many prices differences on the internet. Like on ebay, it varies from approx. $30- $90. I understand that there are various types of LCDs for it. For example 001 or 002. But what I'm wondering is that is it a good idea to buy it on ebay?

I have been trying for about a week now with some blackberry 9700 bold 2. It's the same problem with all of them, I can't get them to power on using the usb cable, the ac cord, at all. I see the red light for one of them only, the rest, just shows no sign of being able to power on, the screens are all black, using blackberry chargers and all that stuff, however for no reason whatsoever these phones won't come on even after been charged overnight and stuff, I can't seem to find any help for this at all, can someone here please help me out.

Although the SIM card is inserted, it isn´t recognised "Insert Sim card". I´ve already bought a new slim card slot, but don´t know how to replace it.

I have just purchased a Bold 9700 and everything is in immaculate condition, except the camera does ..... nothing, just a complete black screen with the options at the bottom.

Any ideas?

Hello, my blackberry bold 9700 is having problems. Last night I had my phone next to me, next thing i know i heard the camera taking photos I picked it up and it would not let me get out of the camera so i took the battery out a number of times and also my sim card and I turned it back on.

Then I can not click on anything my touch button in the midle of my phone that makes me click on things will not click - it moves from left to right but wenI go to click on anything it will not let me. This first happened wen I received a text and I went to look at it and it did not let me.

Also it wont let me type anything on the keypad at all. Numbers no button is working apart from the touch bit in the middle it does not let me turn my phone of or lock it. It is turning on as normal, like it has ever since I got it, because I can not click on anythnig when it goes blank it just turns off and I need to take the battery out and put it back in to turn it on.

I had my phone in my pocket when it was raining last night could this have damged it? Is there anything i could do instead of taking it into a technician?
