Beats Studio 2.0: My Beats Studio 3 Wireless Won't Charge, Turn on and blinks

I’ve owned a pair of Beats Studio 3 Wireless headphones for about 8 months. I cycle with them a lot and also travel with them. Recently, I tried to turn on the beats but got the red blinking logo (I know it means the battery is a 0%), so I say to myself “no biggie, I must’ve left it on overnight and it needs to charge”. When I plug in the beats with the charging cable it came with the lights would flash as follows.

All five white charging lights and the power button light would pulse following a single red light with the power button light, this sequence would happen three times.

Next, a red light would flash three times.

After that, a single white light from the charging lights would fade in and out as long as the beats are connected to a power source.

If I try to turn the beats on while connected to the original charging cable the red light would flash three times before the white light continues to fade in and out.

Below is a list of things that I have already attempted.

Resetting the beats. The website said to hold down the power button and the volume buttons for 10 seconds. I’ve tried it without the power plugged in and there is no response from the lights. When I try it plugged in the beats would repeat the light sequence in the order on the list above.

Updating the firmware. I have downloaded the beats software thing from the site. and plugged the beats in. The beats would show up with the correct name I’ve assigned to it, and the battery percentage would show 0%. It would tell me that the beats are up to date, and give me the option of changing the name of the beats.

Letting it charge. I’ve left the beats on my countertop for about four days to charge. the only thing that would happen is the pulsating white light.

Plugging in the aux and connecting to a phone. There would be no response from this action whatsoever.

What do you guys think? I guess would be water damage from me sweating, but other than that I don’t know how to go about this situation. Is this possible to fix? (Before anyone says take it to apple that option will be my last resort, probably to buy a new one.) But these beats means a lot to me for personal reasons and I do not want to give up on them.

These are the black and gold beats studio 3 wireless headphones. There is no option for this electronic so I chose Beats studio 2 as the electronic option.

Beats Studio 2.0: Beats studio 2.0 Headphones are not turning off

I have had my Studio Headphones for a long time, and they never had a problem. Today, I used them for 2 hours, they worked perfectly. They had low battery life so I plugged them in, but then after 30 minutes I noticed that red light was still on even when they were supposed to be charging (white lights). I unplugged them and the red light didn't go off. I tried to reset them but it wont work, and as far as I know the updater only works for the wireless version. There are red and white lights blinking, it's all crazy. Anyone have an idea on what the problem is?

My Studio 2 Wireless are not charging and the LED lights above it aren’t even coming on. I keep getting this electrical sound then it cuts off completely. So I changed my battery on the right side with a new one but it still didn’t fix the problem. My LED lights still aren’t coming on so I tried resetting them; still didn’t work. I thinking maybe I need a new charging port or something is wrong with the wiring. Any tips?

Beats Studio 2.0: Speaker crackles and pops

So this has nothing to do with the 3.5mm cable but the speaker itselft. My left speaker crackles and pops when i move around. Very annoying to listen to music and walk since music on left side stop and crackles. I went to a repair shop and they said if they try any harder they could break the whole thing! Don't know what to do now. Any suggestions? Would local apple shops be able to fix this? Or do i have to send it off for it to be repaired?

Beats Studio 2.0: My Beats Studio 3 Wireless Won't Charge,

“Most likely”, the battery is simply just not charging the battery at all.

That said, my “Beats won’t charge anymore” situation can’t be a strange one. Could be your issue too.

SYMPTOMS and DIAGNOSIS: I can connect the USB charging cable (connected to the Wall-wart in “charge mode”) and jiggle/move it around and frequently it will make the (normal) charging lights come on. When I let go of the pressure, charging stops and the RED slow blinking single light starts up. It fades out after a while. Never charges.

To test the connector without disassembly, I used one of those colorful giant rubber band style “wrist bands” folks use for advertising promotions to physically hold the Male USB connecter FIRMLY INTO the USB port on my Beats Studio 2 Wireless headset. The pressure from the rubber band firmly pushing the cable head at a slight angle from perpendicular into the USB connector on the headset actually worked. The unit finally fully charged in 2 hours, but I cannot figure out HOW to get into the unit to repair/re-secure the Female USB connector on my Beats Headset without destroying it. I am an amateur and won’t risk them becoming landfill material just yet. They work great when they work.

Could I perhaps take this unit to a “Repair Shop” like UBreak-iFix and get it repaired for a reasonable price (like $30-$50)? This has to be a pretty simple repair to the case structure holding the female USB connector component to the main board or possibly a simple re-solder to the connector with a “Superglue” repair story. I just dont know how to get in there to judge the situation without doing more damage to the case or connector or worse, breaking something else I can’t fix at all.

CONFESSION: I believe this headset was accidently knocked to the floor with the charging cable inserted into the USB port. Bet that’s how the “damage” occurred. Something around that cable head probably “gave” on impact.

LASTLY: Would I need to get new ear pad(s)/cup(s) if a repair person has to “go in” for an “internal” repair/replace of the the Female USB connector to make it properly charge again?

Love to get this headset repaired . Been unable to use for like 2 years now… well, except for the time I used the rubber band thingy to make the charging cable finally work… Thanks in advance for any ideas or help offered. Love my Beats…

Beats Studio 2.0: Beats Studio3 Wireless status lights never indicate full charge

Hello,

The string of charging lights on my Beats Studio3 headphones never indicates that charging is complete, the final light in the sequence will continue to flash perpetually (I tested by leaving them charging for 24 hours). Also, when connect to my phone after an extremely long charging sequence, the battery will indicate that it is 97-99% full, and never reaches 100%. I have gone through 2 pairs with the same issue in the past 2 weeks. I have performed a reset on both headphones numerous times to no avail. Any ideas?

Beats Studio 2.0: Problem with LED/Charging and Audio Cord

The title might have thrown you guys off a bit but I got a problem with my Beats Studio 2.0 headphones. Basically when I plug in the charger the LED indicator does not show any lights. However if I leave the charger plugged in (still no LED lights at this point) and then plug in the audio cord into the beats headphones the LED indicator starts flashing, appearing as if the headphones are charging. However the headphones do not go past the first light. The first light is clearly there and all the lights seem to be flashing together, with the first light being the brightest and the rest of the lights fading gradually.

So if I plug in the charger and keep it plugged in and then plug in the Audio cable, the headphones will work as long as both the charger and audio cable remain plugged in.

Another weird thing is if I instead plug in the audio cable first and then the charger, the LED battery indicator light (first light only) will flash quickly and then the LED lights will not flash at all. On top of that the audio will not work either so I have to plug in the charger (keep it plugged in) and then plug in the audio cable, thought that was weird.

Anyhow do you guys know of a possible fix? I'd like to let you know that I have two pairs of Beats Studio 2.0 headphones. One of them has a broken headband and bracket but the audio works fine and then there's this one which has no broken parts besides the battery (idk where the battery would be in the Studio 2.0) I guess? Anyhow any help is appreciated.
