Whenever I try to turn on my beats solo 2 wireless, the lights just all flash white and followed by one red light, and then the same thing 2 more times. I am not trying to reset my beats when I am turning them on, and I tried charging my beats to full battery, and when I turn my beats on I know I am not holding the power button to long or to short. Apple won't take my headphones to repair since they are 5 days over the warranty... Please help.

Beats Solo 2 Wireless: Beats won't turn on unless charging

Having a really frustrating issue with my Beats Solo 2 wireless headphones. They will only turn on when they are being charged, as soon as I take them off charge, they won't turn on or connect. Randomly, yesterday they just started working again for a few hours (audio was absolutely fine) and have now stopped again.

I have tried resetting them and all combinations of holding power and volume buttons for both 10 seconds and 120 seconds and now change. I have ensured my firmware is up to date and replaced the battery but no joy.

Any ideas?

Beats Solo 2 Wireless: No screw holding inner carapace

I am trying to repair a pair of beats solo 2, as no sound was coming out of the right side. I’ve seen that this is a common problem, but when I opened them up I noticed that it did not have a screw on the inner carapace underneath the tape. It is instead held together with what appears to be 2 white pieces with a slit in the middle. Does anybody know how to take that apart?

Beats Solo 2 Wireless: Beats will not turn or charge but I have a weird but bad solution

Backstory:

I found these beats in the trash at school with electronics exposed. Looked like a mess and it looked old af (like the muffs were worn out and you can see the sponge underneath the leather). There was no liquid or food in said trash can so I took it and put it back together. Every connector was plugged back in its place and it started working again.

Problems that started occurring and some failed solutions:

After about 2 weeks, I was walking home when my beats suddenly just died. I couldn't turn it back on or do anything. I assumed it was dead but when I got back home to charge it, it flashed white and red 3 times (like it was resetting) then had 4 LEDs on, which meant that the battery was about 80% charged. I took it off the charger and then the LEDs immediately turned off. It didn't turn off slowly like it did before. Noticing that it was weird for doing that, I tried turning it on but this time it went white and red again but this time it turned off in the middle of that. After doing it many many times I gave up and left it on the charger. I came back the next day to see if it would work again but it did the same thing (red and white then turn off in the middle of it). Mad, I went online to search for some answers. I've tried the power button middle button combo for 10sec, 20sec, 30sec, 1min, and 3min hold. Done the power button vol. down button for 10sec, 20sec, 30sec, 1min and 3min hold. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the connecters on the left and right side of the headphones. I disconnected the battery and reconnected it. Nothing….worked. I then decided all was lost and just used wired (aux). After another 3 weeks ive decided that maybe a new battery will make it work again. So that's what I did. With my new battery, I plugged it in, and the beats flashed red and white then turned off in the middle of it again. Thinking to myself that I may be screwed, I tried turning it on. Won't turn on. No lights no nothing. Now when I try to charge it, it stays stuck on the first white LED flashing. I leave it alone for the next 2 hours and it hasn't gained any more LEDs. Tried the whole holding buttons thing again and still nothing. Then I remembered that it may need to be updated, so I went to the computer (windows) downloaded and installed the updater. When I plugged in my beats (with battery connected) windows wouldn't recognize my device and so did the updater. I took off the battery, and it was the same thing.

An interesting but weird and terrible solution…

Taking out the battery but plugging in the charger will make the LEDs flash red and white 3 times then will make it work again (yes Bluetooth too).

I don't want to have a battery pack glued onto my headphones to make it work. Is there anything I can do to make it work again? Is it a motherboard problem or a short? I want to fix it but I don't know where to start. Preferably I want to fix it at home before I go to a store.

Much love thx

Beats Solo 2 Wireless: How to clean/remove smell?

Something seems to have found its way into my headphones that has caused them so smell quite strong, and I'm not sure how to go about cleaning them in a way that can remove it.

The smell seems to be coming from where the speakers themselves are, so I'm really at a loss... It's nothing I can see, there's no discoloration, so it must have been some sort of liquid but everything seems to still be okay aside from their new smell.

(Think REALLY bad cologne)

Beats Solo 2 Wireless: Beats solo 3 battery won't last long

[Note: ifixit doesn’t have a category for Solo 3, so I had to chose Solo2]

I’ve had this pair for a couple years now, so when I started to notice the symptom of a charge not lasting as long as it once did, I immediately suspected the battery and replaced it. Now, with a fresh battery, I’ll charge it and still only get ~5 hours worth of use, because the battery will even drain while it is off.

I’ve also tried resetting them after I replaced the battery. Still no luck there. Anybody have a solution? Is it time to replace them?

Beats Solo 2 Wireless: Dre beats Solo 3’s wireless light won’t turn on

I have had this new pair of Beats Solo 3 wireless for about a week now. The first time they completely ran out of battery I charged them up. Then, as soon as I plugged the headphones in, all 4 lights turned on and stayed completely on. I on purpose ran the battery out of them because the lights would never turn off. Then, I charged them up and tried to turn them on again. I turned them on, and the audio works, it connects to my phone. But, there is absolutely 0 lights that ever turn on. Plus, when connected to my iPhone it says the battery is always at 100%. I have reset the headphones about 10 times and have also updated the software. Can someone please help me with this, its a brand new pair and I would like some answers to why no lights ever appear on them.
