Baby Monitor: VTech RM5764-2HD Cameras will not "beep" or enter pairing mode.

Hi all, I recently purchased a used Vtech RM5764-2HD Baby monitor. Both of the cameras show a steady orange light when I turn them on and will not connect to the parent unit. I have attempted to factory reset the cameras by holding down the pair button as instructed. However, the cameras do not make an audible "beep" as the instructions indicate and just show a steady orange light. Any help is greatly appreciated, TIA.

Baby Monitor: Vtech BM4000/VM341 Safe and sound linking problems

My units were working great until recently, where the camera got knocked onto the floor and may have been damaged slightly. The sound of lullabies when played from camera is getting stuck on notes sometimes unless the power cord is held in certain spots.

The biggest problem is linking between parent and baby unit barely functions now. Tried unlinking and re-linking, took me almost an hour to get a re-link to work! Just wondering what the problem could be and if its repairable ? I have carefully opened the camera (baby) unit and nothing is damaged as far as I can see (no soldering either). Thinking it is a power pin cord issue..?

Any advice would be great!

Infant Optics DXR-8: Freezing after a short while

The monitor will power on and allow switching between the cameras ( I have 2 ), for about a minute or two. Then the image on the screen will freeze, it will go silent, and become completely unresponsive to any button presses, including the power button. The only way I can get it to snap out of if is to pull the battery. Any repair suggestions?

Baby Monitor: Motorola Lux 85 Connect parent unit not connecting to baby unit

Hi, my Motorola lux 85 connect parent unit (monitor) isn't working. It beeps with a red camera logo on a black screen but no video as it's obviously disconnected from the baby unit.

The baby unit (camera) works as I can see my baby via mobile app over wifi. There could still be an issue with the baby unit not sending out a signal to the parent unit.

I have tried resetting both units, checked the internet connection and followed all other troubleshooting I could find online but it's still not working. I purchased the unit in 2021 so it's out of warranty. I'd really like to try fixing it, I have limited experience of repairing electronics.

Infant Optics DXR-8: Power supply isn't providing the monitor power

I'm having issues with my Infant Optics DXR-8 Baby Monitor.

My daughter knocked the monitor off a high shelf. I turned the monitor on, everything looked and worked fine. Later that night, while the monitor was plugged in and on, the low battery alarm started going off. I realized that the battery had not been charging even though the monitor was plugged in. For some reason, power from the wall (5VDC I think?) is not making it into the monitor, most likely (in my opinion) because something broke loose when the monitor fell. Has anyone had a similar issue? I'm going to open it up tonight and see if I can see anything obvious, hopefully I'll just need to resolder a lead, but I'm looking to see if anyone has any ideas if there isn't an obvious issue.

Flipping through the other questions on this site, I realized a lot of these monitors are USB charging. This monitor isn't USB, it's a 3.5 mm jack (or similar, maybe slightly smaller).

Infant Optics DXR-8: NO Sound from One Camera But Second one works fine

I all of a sudden can't hear from one of my cameras. I have two paired with the monitor and I can hear the second one fine but can't hear the first one. Any thoughts? I tried blowing out the speaker cord on top of the camera to make sure there wasn't any dust in it and still nothing. At the highest level I can only hear static.

The backlight on the monitor is not working. If you shine a flashlight on the screen you can see it, so the rest of the machine is working, just not the backlight.

Infant Optics DXR-8: I need to replace the power cord receiver located in the monitor.

The monitor has a micro USB female receiving port to charge the battery. If I plug in the USB cable just right the battery charges; however, just right means a combination of things including: laying the unit on it's back; placing a 1-2lb item in the USB cord to maintain the charge. It's annoying and I'm highly confident I just need to replace the receiving end of the charger.

I had to turn off the breaker to my son’s room for electrical work, and ever since then the monitor shows a much darker picture. At night, you can’t even see the room at all! Does anyone have thoughts on how I can possibly fix this?
