My BMW was recently running perfect and I had it running while I was inside the gym exercising as I wanted my dog to have AC on. When I returned the car had shut itself off from overheating and coolant was bleeding out the bottom. I ended getting it towed and to the mechanic and the found the oil filter housing broke and the seals busted and it needed to be replaced. They replaced it and the coolant issue was fixed. I soon noticed driving away the heat was blowing and it would not cool down at all. I immediately returned to this mechanic and told them about this issue and the spent a day trying to fix it. The coolant levels are good, the condenser goes on and off, and they said all those parts are working and then they gave up and blamed them not having the bmw computer software to check the switches on the inside of the car vent system or something like that. its frustrating that they charged me 4000 and didn't fix the issue. I have quite a bit of car experience and could do the repair myself I just literally am moving to Florida from Colorado and the car broke an hour before I left and I definitely can't go to Florida with this issue. The car blows hot air its not cooled at all.

I know there are a lot of air conditioner questions but I can't find one that seems to be similar enough. Is there a fuse or a switch that could have been triggered by the mechanic doing the oil housing repair? Could they have done the repair wrong and caused some issue? I am about to replace the air condenser but it feels like that wouldn't fix the issue.

Im sorry I made a typo, lots of stress from this car breaking down on the road as im moving out. We changed the oil filter housing because the plastic broke and coolant drained out. After replacing the part or maybe it was at the same time as the oil filter housing breaking. Yeah im not an expert but I can figure things out slowly.

Since the mechanic level the freon out it seems to hiss way louder now, im trying to find a legit BMW mechanic but it seems im SOL for a while.

When check it in INPA, lambda voltage is constant. I want to be sure if it is connected, after being sure that it is not possible to fix connections I am planning to change it.
