Asus ZenBook UX330U: Just installed a new battery but still doesn't work.

Prior to repair, I noticed that the battery stayed at 23% charged no matter how long I kept it on the charger. It stayed like that for a few months until it just cut out. It seemed like the battery was the issue. I followed the battery installation instructions on this site and everything seemed to be done properly. However, when I tried to power it back up or plug in the power source, the charge light indicator did not appear and the computer won’t power on. Any other ideas of what it might be?

Asus ZenBook UX330U: Power Button Not Working

Hey,

my laptop is usually in sleep mode and just powers on when I open it up.

So when I hadn’t used it for a week and needed to press the power button… it wasn’t responding

i’m not sure when it stopped working exactly.

But I did let my cousins use it so maybe they knocked it or something…

however the power button definitely worked before.

anyway, I tried taking the back off and checking all the cables and connected firmly.

i even unplugged the battery and plugged power in. It turned on right away and all of the keys worked except the power button.

I’m really unsure what to do.

Any idea?

Asus ZenBook UX330U: UX430U wont boot up unless hard rebooted with battery disconnected

Recently, I dropped a few drops of water around the power key of my laptop. It did not show any issues then, but after shutting it down, it did not boot up. It shows as charging if plugged in though.

Taking it to folks at geekbench resulted in a temporary solution where hard rebooting with battery removed (and power attached) leads to the laptop turning on. Now the laptop needs to hard booted that way or else it wont boot up.

Any suggestions what might have gone wrong

I plugged in a new external hard drive to back up my data. Now, when I try and start it, the side power led and the airplane mode and caps lock lights flash, the fan turns on for 1 second, then everything dies. Have tried several hard resets, disconnected the battery, etc…. still doing the same thing. Any suggestions? If I need to boot from a usb, where do I get the boot software?
