Asus X751L: What is the ease of replacing the hard drive?

My hard drive is starting to make some funny noises on boot-up. I’m not hearing the dread clicking yet, but I’ve had this for almost 5 years and the laptop itself is well-traveled. Is it feasible to replace the hard-drive with something else (Preferably SSD because GAMING SPEEDS), or is it time to upgrade to a new device and responsibly retire this one?

Asus X751L: Power socket not accepting cable.

The power cable on my laptop has suddenly stopped pushing into the socket properly. It seems to push the fitting in the socket back so it will not enter the plug properly. I have checked a different charger but that is the same. I think it will possibly need a new socket. Are there any guides how to change it, I am having difficulty finding one.

Asus X751L: Why my laptop won't turn on?

My laptop won't turn on. Here is the background:

I've first noticed my battery was at 0% all the time, even when charging, so I wanted to remove the battery and put it back in so maybe that solves the problem. And I did that, but while disassembling I pulled out my touchap wire so with the toucpad not working I couldn't click on the battery percentage without touchpad, so I didn't manage to see if I fixed the battery problem, but then… it turned off. I could power it back on but after a few minutes, again, it shut down. I powered it back on but fewer and fewer time passed until it shut off. After that the screen wouldn't turn although I would hear some crackling inside. After few more tries even the crackling dissapeared. When the cable is connected, the red led is on (next to the battery sign). When I press the power button, the other green led lights up, but dissapears after 2 seconds.

Any ideas on solutions/problem. If it is my fault (if I messed it up with static electricity while dissasembling, is there any way to prove it?

Thanks!

Asus X751L: Why won't it boot suddenly?

I could not find my exact model. It is X756UB, I think.

Was running a live version of LXLE (Ubuntu based) from a flashdrive and had it connected via HDMI to a TV but forgot to plug in the power. While watching YouTube the audio suddenly started to loop and then stop at a frozen frame. So I shut it down with the button but now it won't start.

Ive tried for MINUTES and I'm all out of ideas.

This already happened a couple of times since I got the thing. Sometimes takes seconds, minutes or even hours to suddenly work again. How can I fix this?
