A couple of yrs ago it was overheating(put in freezer to cool), but now it doesn't. Now, after a couple of yrs of not using it, it won't connect to either a Wi-Fi router or a wired LAN router. I bought this from the Asus website, I thought it was a transformer TF 701. Except the only part # I can find is "KOOC". When this was bought, I paid for the keyboard dock also. The keyboard battery charges with the tablet battery. And it doesn't get hot anymore. I unplug it at night cause I just invoked the MURPHY god and now my tablet will get hot and melt. The power plug is 14.8mm wide x 2.2mm thick, the opening on the hot end is approximately 11mm wide, with tablet docked to keyboard the power plug hooks to opening in keyboard charging both batteries. and the tablet has a usb 1 or 2 on the far side. Dont know what the three receptacles in the tablet in view are.

Yeah, it's really old. I stopped using it because it would get so hot that to cool it, I put it in the freezer! (Unplugged) It's not getting hot now. Also, now the wifi keeps disconnecting. The tablet is 5 feet from the router. I would like any info on this. I'm just getting back to this thing, I'll watch some vids of "How To Repair or Open an ASUS Tablet. Maybe I can upgrade it to work more better.
Eee Pad Transformer Prime TF201: Tablet that boots dead android (actual device not available in menu)

I have an Asus Transformer AiO 18….something, it’s not listed in the device option menu. It has a 18” android tablet, which has died. It works when I attach it to the base station to use as a monitor in Windows, but removing the tablet from the base station causes it to stop. When it boots up, it gives a picture of the Android robot character dead.

Is there anyway to repair the Android system on the tablet?

ASUS MeMo Pad FHD10: Ghost touches even when unplugged

Hi everyone,

My Android tablet (ASUS MeMO Pad FHD 10 ME302C) is showing ghost touches either when plugged in or plugged out, no matter if the battery is lightly, half or fully charged.

I enabled "Show touches" and "Pointer location" in "Developer options" and the behavior is as follows:

when tablet boots up, little to no ghost touches

after just a few seconds, it starts ghost touching all over the screen

when I rotate the tablet at 90/180/270/360°, it seems to me the ghost touches are even more severe

I also tried the following actions:

cleaning up the tablet with a dry cloth

resetting the tablet to factory defaults

removing the sd card

charging the tablet with several AC adapters

letting the battery ran out and charging it again

opening the tablet and disconnect the digitizer (the ghost touches stop but so does the whole touch screen)

pluging back in the digitizer and thus, "force" a touch screen calibration (shows a "ASUS Calibration in progress" dialog)

opening the tablet and disconnect/reconnect the battery

opening the tablet and disconnect the motherboard, battery and speakers and plug them back in

Unfortunately, the issue is still present and I am asking for advice. Should I try replacing the digitizer, battery and/or screen and, if so, is there any "guarantee" that it will resolve the ghost touches? Or should I resign myself and simply buy another tablet?

Thanks anyone for your time and advice.

ASUS Eee Pad Transformer: replacing the motherboard on a bricked transformer

i have a bricked asus eee pad tf101 tablet. it gets stuck on the boot loop so it’s been laying around useless for a while and was wondering if i was to go and purchase a motherboard from the exact same model as mine, is there any special procedures i’d have to do to make it work correctly? i noticed when looking for replacement boards, a lot had an id or serial number with it in the description and my motherboard has stickers with the same alpha numerical numbers…..except for the last 3 digits. does that mean anything specific? also i believe this model had a 16 gb and a 32 gb version. does the size have anything to do with the motherboard or is it a seperate component? if mine was a 16gb, would a 32 gb motherboard work in mine or would it know the difference? thanks in advance
