Asus Tuf Gaming FX505GT: Wireless Adapter keeps disappearing

For the past week, my Wi-Fi network keeps disappearing. It comes back at times but I have online classes by next week so I need stable internet. I tried most fixes I see online with the Disabling the Adapter in the Device Manager or Troubleshooting but the Wi-Fi still disappears after a while. My phone (and my family’s) can connect to the WiFi and use it though.

Asus Tuf Dash F15 2022: Is it Possible to replace the display with an OLED panel

Is it possible to replace the display with an OLED panel on the Asus TUF Dash F15 2022, assuming I find a display with similar specifications? I'm interested in upgrading my laptop's display to an OLED panel for improved color reproduction and contrast. If I manage to find an OLED panel that matches the required specifications, I would like to know if it is technically feasible to perform the replacement myself. Are there any specific compatibility issues or considerations I should keep in mind? Additionally, I would greatly appreciate any step-by-step instructions or resources that can help me with the process. Thank you!

Asus TUF A15 FA506IV: Power button not working. Disassembled before it's inaccessible.

ASUS TUF A15 Gaming Laptop (Model FA507) As the title says, the power button has stopped working. The charging light comes on fine when plugged in. I'm 99% certain the power button is the issue, as it was becoming increasingly finicky over the past few months. I would have to press repeatedly in slightly different ways until I hit the "sweet spot" and it turned on. Or sometimes it wouldn't work, until I put it away in my backpack and tried again later. This leads me to believe there is an issue with the connection between the power button and the rest of the board. Now that that's out of the way...

I'm extremely broke, and am in my final year of uni to try to escape poverty. I got a quote from a local repair shop for $700 and three weeks of repair, which I definitely cannot afford (in both time and money). So I figured I might as well and try to apply some of that electrical engineering knowledge I've been gaining at school. I'm currently taking a PCB design class, and am starting to become familiar with working hands-on. But after having fully disassembled the laptop, I found out the hard way that there's a metal plate covering the back side of the palm panel that cannot be removed. I should have watched a tear down video first. I'm incredibly dumb, I'm sorry 😔

I was thinking about devising a work around if I can identify where the signal from the power button interfaces with the mother board. If I can find that, I might be able to engineer a DIY method of shorting that connection (thus simulating the power button). I've identified three ribbon cables coming out of the palm panel, indicated by the red arrows. The teal arrow points to the cable for the touch pad, and the yellow arrow points to the WLAN chip. The power button is located at the top left in the first photo. I suspect it might be the topmost cable (5th and 6th photo) due to it's closest proximity to the power button. The leftmost cable (2nd and 4th photo) is yellow and is marked with the text VCC and RBG. While it seems promising, I think it might just be for the rgb lighting of the keyboard. The battery connects to the wire at the bottom of the 7th photo. Can anyone help me identify which trace is associated with the power button? I have a multimeter, and can provide additional photos as needed. Thank you in advance!

I cross posted this on Reddit in hopes of increasing exposure. I hope that's okay!

ASUS TUF Dash F15: Display won't turn on, battery indicator flashes white.

Context:
I left my laptop on overnight, and it shut itself down from low battery by the time I woke up. Perfectly normal, I've done that multiple times. Laptop worked perfectly fine before this problem occured.
-------------------------
To my dismay, when I plugged the charger in and turned the laptop back on, I was greeted with a black screen, followed by the battery indicator light blinking white 3 times, in approx 5second intervals.
I thought it had been the battery not charging, but when I turned the laptop off, the battery indicator glowed orange, indicating that it was in fact charging like normal.

I've disconnected the battery by opening the laptop up, held the power button for 30 seconds, thinking the problem was static in the components, but that too did nothing.
I did notice a bit later however, that all the fans and internal components sounded like they were running.
Finally, I tried hooking the laptop up to an external display. As I suspected, it worked.
No signs of the original laptop display being detected, though. I was wondering if I could get the original laptop display working again.

I'd appreciate if anybody could diagnose the problem, and help me with a fix, if any. Cheers!

ASUS TUF Gaming A15 (2023) FA507XI: new laptop but power button is not working properly

Hello.
I recently bought this brand new ASUS laptop based on the 7940 chip from AMD.
My first real investment in a laptop after a lot of carefull research. I am super happy about it but from the first day I noticed that it didnt want to start right away.
I thought maybe it was a matter of memory training or something of the sort but sadly after 5 months of use i now know for a fact that its the power button.
The bios is very basic on this model so there is no alternative way to power it up and it can take several minutes of pressing in different ways, including jiggleing it until it powers up. I googled and found out that this is apparently common on TUF models of ASUS laptops. Sadly I bought this laptop in my country of origin but I live in another country. This means that I wont travel back anytime soon so that I can solve it through warranty.

My question is if anyone has encountered this issue and actually know of the solution to it. Im hoping that its a matter of a cable that just needs to be set better and nothing more serious.
Thank you in advance!

Sincerely,
Danijel

Asus TUF Laptop: Why is my laptop overheating and battery discharging!

Laptop is almost exclusively used plugged in with the battery only charging to 60% through the battery saver settings. I used to use it all the time to play intense games like Call of Duty, but it started having issues a couple years into it's lifecycle. I have not been able to use it much since. During gaming the computer appears to overheat and shut off. But when I go to turn it back on it says the battery is on 0%. I'm not a computer saavy person, but my first thing was to open it up and clean out the fan (which wasn't that dusty either). My next option would be to replace the battery since it appears to be a cheap fix (under $50). Any other ideas? Thanks ahead of time.

2 weeks ago, fan started giving abnormal noises. I ignored it. I thought I will clean it afterwards. But today, it started giving very abnormal noises, so if fan usage is causing damage to fan, is it safe to unplug it? My usage is low, I am using Linux as server, when idle my RAM usage is less than 4 GB, & CPU less than 1%. I am using it 24 hours.

I remember they said laptop is self-cleaning. So I thought, I don't need to clean it, was this just marketing thing? They never said, you should clean it yourself from time to time
