Asus R Series: plugged in screen on unplugged screen off

ok I have a Asus r554L flip laptop with windows 8.1. when its powered on and plugged in, it works fine, but when i unplug it and its still on the screen is black. I've checked other fixes like settings (don't have advance settings) and the brightness trick, they don't work, I've replaced the battery with a new one. I'm stumped and not sure what I'm missing.

I think it is some sort of error message. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is there a way I can fix this?

Hello everyone. I'm from EU so if my grammar isn't that mind-blowing don't mind it please.

First of all, my PC is a ASUS F541S with windows 8. I was playing a game last night with my someone and suddenly my pc stopped working like it froze instantly. I've had this problem before so I tried to Ctrl + ALT + Delete to restart it. And so did I.

After the restart it crashed. It showed me that error with this emoji “:(“ and it said “your pc stopped working“.

And afterwards it started rebooting himself. I've waited 5 minutes and it didn't solve something it was black screen’d.

And so I got here. Please try to explain me as detailed as possible. I'm not really good at devices so try to explain me really well, please.

Thank you in advance!

By the way, if you suggest me to do something about it, please say me as well which key do I have to press or how am I going to do that.

Asus R510CA-OB01: Is it possible to change the ssd with a new ssd?

I know it is not that hard to replace the hdd with ssd, all we need to do is to unscrew some screws and replace 2.5 inch hdd with 2.5 inch ssd. What I am curious about is that the laptop came with a 128gb ssd. Is it possible to replace the ssd with a new ssd with larger capacity, say 500gb while retaining the hdd in place?

Asus R510LA-RS71: ASUS R510L screen not switching on after motherboard replacement

Hi,

I have ASUS R510L that I' have change motherboard. Everything is working except the screen. When I connect to external monitor, I get output correctly. So my issue is with the screen. Also the computer fails to reset surely for I already upgrade from windows 8.1 to windows 10. I tried static energy discharge (holding power button for 30, 60, 120 seconds etc.) still can’t get the screen run up.

Any Guru advice to fix up will be appreciated.

Thanks
