Asus Q304UA: I can’t go into bios or boot into a flash drive with windows 10.

My laptop wont boot into bios no matter what I try. I tried different methods including resetting bios by disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes and reconnecting it. I also can’t force it into bios because I would just get a black screen. I use an external monitor because the ribbon cable broke and the main monitor for my laptop doesn’t work anymore. I’m trying to upgrade from hdd to ssd and I can’t.

Asus Q505UA-BI5T7: Where is the lid switch and is it mechanical or magnetic

This computer overheats and thermal throttles easily so I have to leave it flip in an A-frame type position so both sides get airflow when I have it hooked up to a monitor and keyboard. I'd like to try and spoof the lid switch so it thinks it closed in a clamshell type mode and has cooling and the main display stays off. (Ived added a higher end thermal paste to help the onboard cooling and it did help quite a bit but this would help a lot)

Asus Q Series: ASUS Q540 Laptop not powering off after attempted viewing/repair.

I have tried to view the inside of my laptop via taking it apart in order to view RAM and SSD. There was a spark near the RAM stick. After taking off two metal covers inside, I saw there was one SSD slot and put the laptop back together. Afterwards, it stopped turning on/showing power. The light does not turn on. There is no indication of any power running through it, even while charged. I have tried taking it to a repair shop, to no success. The goal is to repair the laptop. Please help. I was not a professional (and also not wearing a static discharge bracelet thing), and I have attempted:
- Discharging the battery
- Removing the battery
- Using a different charging cord
- Putting in different screws
- Taking it to a repair shop.
The current plan is to take it to ASUS for warranty repairs.
Please help me, I got this laptop for $1000 and I don't want to lose it. The more exact model is ASUS Creator Q540 VJ laptop, and I got it from BestBuy.

Asus Q304UA: How to Replace CMOS CABLE Hard Driver cable Connector DD0BKETH000

I’m sure it will be evident once I receive the replacement cable, but where does it connect inside the touch display? thanks, David

Update (10/21/2020)

I understand and agree with almost everything you said except (and in the tutorial you referenced you can see in figure 8 the 2 wires coming from the connector) the cable I mentioned and that’s exactly what it’s called. Here is a link to where I’m purchasing mine with pictures: https://www.ebay.com/itm/DD0BKETH000-GEN...

The additional wire that is not going to the connector of the hard drive goes up with the wifi antenna cable and take a right there and to the hinge and I believe into the display. Whereever the second wire goes even if not to the display is what I’m trying to find out

I was surprised by the quick reply, but please take a moment to look at that cable and maybe from there you can help me out.

thanks
