Asus Q304UA: How do I fix my "f" key?

The F key on my key board works when it wants to. It doesn't always respond when i press it. Sometimes I have to press it several times with increasing strength.

I did a Google search couldnt find much but just to replace the keys. I have a customer that spilled liquid on the laptop. Trying to figure out cost , I don’t have the laptop in my hands. It’s probably more than KB looking at the stock pics of it.

Asus Q304UA: My keyboard backlight controls do not work.

I am trying to turn on the keyboard backlight with fn+f4, or at least trying to get the popup that says brightness down with fn+f3. All of the keys work, just not when used together. I have tried updating to the latest ATK package, uninstalled and reinstalled the keyboard drivers, and I’ve pretty much exhausted my technical knowledge.

Edit: This is after a hard drive replacement with an SSD.

Asus Q304UA: I can’t go into bios or boot into a flash drive with windows 10.

My laptop wont boot into bios no matter what I try. I tried different methods including resetting bios by disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes and reconnecting it. I also can’t force it into bios because I would just get a black screen. I use an external monitor because the ribbon cable broke and the main monitor for my laptop doesn’t work anymore. I’m trying to upgrade from hdd to ssd and I can’t.

I unfortunately stepped (ever so slightly) on my asus Q304UAK while it was on the floor of my daughter’s dark bedroom tonight :(. The LCD works fine, but the touch screen is not responding and I have cracks running in front of the LCD on the screen. What can I do and how much should it cost?

I’m sure it will be evident once I receive the replacement cable, but where does it connect inside the touch display? thanks, David

I understand and agree with almost everything you said except (and in the tutorial you referenced you can see in figure 8 the 2 wires coming from the connector) the cable I mentioned and that’s exactly what it’s called. The additional wire that is not going to the connector of the hard drive goes up with the wifi antenna cable and take a right there and to the hinge and I believe into the display. Whereever the second wire goes even if not to the display is what I’m trying to find out

I was surprised by the quick reply, but please take a moment to look at that cable and maybe from there you can help me out.

For the past year or so, my touchpad has seemed almost possessed if I’m not using it on a flat surface. For example, if my computer is on my lap and I try to use the touchpad, the cursor may move on its own, switch between programs/windows or involuntarily minimize/grow/shrink a window. I mostly want to use my laptop ON MY LAP and it’s maddening that it’s become nearly impossible to do that.

Asus Q304UA: Due to fall -- popped rubber gromet out

My Grandma's dog recently pushed my laptop off the couch and with a slight dent, a rubber gromet popped out. I'm worried about my screen touching, causing a wear mark, scratching, or cracking the screen. How can I repair this?
