Asus Padfone 2: How to fix or replace Headphone Jack for my Zenfone 2

When I plug the headphone into the phone jack, the sound stops working and create a popping sound ( in the earpiece) instead. It doesn't matters what sound source (You tube, music)comes from and the program locks up until I unplug the phone jack and sound resume though the external phone speakers. Looks like the phone jack is temporary shorted inside the unit until I unplug the jack.

Asus Padfone 2: LCD / Digitzier / Glass

Hello,

i have cracked the screen glass of my Asus Padfone 2 (A68) and now the touchscreen functionality does not work any more. However, the LCD seems to work fine.

I have two questions:

- Is the LCD somehow glued to the Digitizer ?

- There is a replacement part called "ZVLT922 Touch Screen Glass unit". You can buy it on eBay for about 20 bucks. Is this replacement kit all i need to repair my phone ?

Regards,

Asus Padfone 2: Possible to repair battery?

Hi, my Padfone 2 is dead because the battery no longer works. The reason can be seen from the picture below.

http://i.imgur.com/XgqNeyU.jpg

As you can see, the small cable (no idea what it is called)that gets attached has come off. On proper lookup, I don't see that it was attached with anything special. It just seems to have been attached by something like a glue or something. So, is it fine if I attach the cable to the battery with a super glue or something, or it doesn't work like that? I don't want to risk charging defective battery or something and cause problems to the phone or something worse like fire.

Asus Padfone 2: How do you change the usb-port?

After loading the phone over the usb-port several hundred of times the mini-usb-port of the phone is worn and should be changed. If you do some research you'll find out that the usb-port can allegedly only be changed by replacing a complete board. This spare part can be bought for about 80 € at ebay which is far too much if you ask me. If anybody has an idea how to change the mini-usb-port without replacing more than that, this would be fine.

Thanx folks and bye
