Asus Eee PC 1005HA: black screen Asus EeePC 1005HAB

I have an EeePC 1005 HAB, switch to lubuntu from WindowsXP. While trying to engage wireless I pushed Fn and all of the F-keys. Not sure which key (probably F4-8) turned screen black. Now it won't light-up. I have powered down, removed the battery, held power button, restarted and still only black screen. I have pushed the F-keys and Fn F-keys, still black screen. Any ideas?

Asus Eee PC 1005HA: How can I find an Eee 1005HA compatible screen?

I ordered a replacement monitor from a reputable vendor for our cracked Asus Eee 1005HA, but when I received the order, the two screen connections, where the wiring plugs in, didn't match (pic here).

I contacted Asus, which provided me the following information on the screen:

LCD TFT 10.1' WSVGA GLARE (A+)

Part number:

18G241010402Q

But I can't find replacements for that part number mentioned anywhere on the Internet!

Can I jerry-rig a connector for the monitor I already bought? They appear to have the same number of pins. The new, incompatible screen seller offer to exchange or refund it, which I'm happy to do if it doesn't work, but I really want to get this fixed.

Asus Eee PC 1005HA: 1005HA LVDS cable: Is 14G2235HA10 equal to 1422-00ML000?

Hi.

Looking for a replacement LVDS display cable for my EEE PC 1005HA. It takes a 14G2235HA10, and I've seen some vendors advertise a cable labeled with both this number and 1422-00ML000. Other vendors use just one or the other of these numbers.

Anyone know whether the 14G2235HA10 and the 1422-00ML000 are exactly the same cable with the same connectors?

The ASUS support site lists only the former number (http://support.asus.com/Search/KDetail.a...).

Thanks for your help.

Asus Eee PC 1005HA: Some keyboard keys not working, even after replacing actual keyboard

I had a problem with certain keys not working on this netbook like these keys: =[.c

Figured it must be the keyboard so I bought a new one. Pretty easy to swap out. The keys still do not work. What should I check next? Is there any way to troubleshoot this, or should I resign myself to using this with an external keyboard (which really defeats the whole purpose of a mini netbook)?
