Asus Display: Backlight on, no display

Monitor backlight powers on, it is recognized by windows and the speakers even work but there is no display, no logo on powerup, no menu (OSD), nothing.

I'm out of my depth in terms of diagnosing from this point, I have torn it down and see no obvious scorch marks or broken solder.

If anyone could point me in the right direction to pin pointing this problem I would greatly appreciate it.

I have a multimeter, soldering iron, etc. First time posting, sorry if I missed anything.

Asus Display: Worth to replace panel in monitor?

I bought a rog pg32u monitor for 25 bucks. I was hoping for it to be all good but the panel in it is completely shattered. Would it even be worth getting a new panel? Also where would I get a new one and how much would it cost?

ASUS ROG XG258Q: Full Black Screen Not Working

I own 18 ASUS ROG XG258Q monitors, two of which are not functioning. They display a black screen, even after testing with different DisplayPort and HDMI cables, and on different PCs. Other monitors work fine with the same PCs and cables. Tried to change all cables...

None worked!!!

ASUS PG27UQ: Asus PG27UQ Monitor doesn't turn on at all

Issues: Wouldn't turn on so I unplugged everything other than then power supply.

Troubleshooting: I unplugged the power supply from the monitor and plugged it back in, the white light on the bottom (that signifies that the monitor has power) would do a little sparkle every time, but wouldn't stay on. The monitor wouldn't turn on either. Power button did nothing.

I tried this with 2 power supplies.

I took it apart to check if any of the capacitors or chips were obviously (visually) at fault, but I see nothing wrong.

Diagnosis? What would be the next trouble shooting steps?

ASUS VG248: Stripes on Screen, Is this worth fixing?

Hello!

My old Asus screen started to have some horizontal stripes on the screen. Its not related to the cable or GPU i tried different cables, different screens and the same screen on different computers, its acting the same way everywhere.

ASUS VN289Q LCD Monitor: Monitor flickered, and now won’t turn on

I built a new frame for an ASUS Monitor 27”, removed the backlight in order to use the screen transparent with natural light, as done on this video https://youtu.be/Shp5JhOqdKI https://youtu.be/Shp5JhOqdKI I was extremely careful with the electronic components but the screen soon started to flicker and bands went horizontally, it came back and worked for a while but now won’t even power up. Can someone please help me to know how to go about this without damaging the device? Thank you very much, Nick

I covered the top of the electronics with steel sheeting instead of the usual aluminum and tested the monitor with shining a power bank with a flashlight built in it and don’t know if this would have or something else interferes with the electronic components.

Here are both sides of the two circuit boards aside from the LCD and both sides of the LCD circuit board.

In case interference is the problem, I opened a different LCD display and all of the circuit boards including to the circuit board attached to the LCD glass were on both sides shielded by aluminum sheet and foil tape.

Here are the images of they upload of a different monitor Asus VZ27E; it was a lot easier to reframe without a backlight.

One of the buttons is continuously stuck in a loop. It's the down button on the monitor. So it just automatically keeps on changing the display modes.

ASUS VG248: Monitor suddenly turned blueish

Just like everyday i started my computer and everything was okay. But suddenly a white-ish fog arrived. Couldnt fix it for hours. But then i had the idea to update my graphics card drivers. After updating the white-ish fog turned into blue-ish with borders that actually project the right monitor colour. There is also a line in the monitor that appeared with the fog.

Asus VC239h: Backlight turns on in standby, and turns off then starts again

Hi, on my screen the backlight goes on during sleep, then goes off, then starts again, Asus made me do the hard reset but didn't work.

Here's the thing, while it's in standby, the panel turns on, but no display, just the panel glowing, then turns off again.

No problem to wake up, other than that it works normally.

Tested on my Windows 10 pc and a Mac mini.

Hello! I have an ASUS VA279 and I was trying to use it with my phone. I couldn't turn the image to a vertical position but a friend had an Iphone. We tried with her phone and it worked. I bought an iPhone to be able to use it and when I tried the image didn't turn vertical, I called her and we tried again with her Iphone and didn't work this time. Any advice? I am a tik-toker and I am deaf, I need the large display to see properly when I am performing. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello I am building a pc that is best for gaming and I selected ASUS monitor for it but I don’t know can it help me in system integration too.

I got this display used, unfortunately it didn’t work right from the start. The backlight only flashes for a split second when turned on, then stays off.

Other than that the display seems to work fine, the image is definitely there (checked with phone flashlight), so I decided I want to try and fix it if I can.

Taking it apart was easier than I even expected. Unfortunately I couldn’t see any bad components on either of the boards (power supply and logic board, I assume), and I didn’t think to take any pictures at the time. Put it back together for now.

If anyone has experience with this model (or similar ones) and can point me to what exactly to look for that would be appreciated. I saw that other Asus models seem to have problems with the power supply? Where could I get ahold of a new one to try that out?

Hello,

My moniter the Aoc Agon AG271QG(Not in device list) is currently having a serious issue. I plug it into power and am only display a small white led light on the bottom right to display that is is powered, but it does not respond to any of the button to turn on or off nor detects that I have plugged it into my computer. I have used a different monitor with the same cable and computer and it works perfectly fine. Please help!
