Asus Chromebook C201: Power Jack connection is Damaged. Can this be replaced and fixed?

My mom's Asus Chromebook C201P has a damage power jack after it fell. The power cord will no longer plug in and so it can not be charged. I found the replacement part on Amazon for $10 but curious to know how complicated this is to replace? Do you happen to have a step by step on how to get to it and what it entails?

Asus Chromebook C201: It turns on OK but the screen remains white.

The laptop turns on as normal but the screen is white and I am unable to do anything with it. If you tilt it, you can see that the left half of the screen has very light blue vertical lines, in different shades / sizes and patterns. My dog 'may' have stepped on the closed lap tap. Could the pressure from the dog damage the screen???

Asus Chromebook C201: My Laptop is not charging!

Hello all! I bought the laptop (ASUS Chromebook C201) brand new with 4gigs of ram. The problem is that the battery somehow isn't fully charging. It goes up to 94% and then stops. So can I somehow try fixing this at home without needing to send it back? Thanks iFixit!

Asus Chromebook C201: I need help with figuring out why it's not charging

Hi hello!

This is not really my first rodeo with taking apart computers and fixing it. I thought this would be an easy case of 'replacing the battery' because by all accounts and lots of googling, this seemed the most logical answer.

Basically, it started with the Chromebook not charging. Replaced the charger, worked for a bit, then nada. New charger, now nothing at all. I should mention this is my mom's laptop so I have no idea what she does with it. Anyways, I take it apart, remove the battery, plug in the AC adapter and voila! Light! Now here's the tricky part.

I plug the battery back in, JUST TO BE EXTRA SURE, and there's still a light. Okay... Try to reassemble and get to the keyboard part. As soon as I flip the keyboard over to snap back in, light goes off. So I stop, reverse, light is back. Already, I'm confused. Thinking that this could run like other laptops without a battery as long as it's on AC (a temp solution until I get a new battery, still thinking that is the issue), I take the battery back out and begin the reassembling process again. Keep in mind (and yes, I know this was bad idea but I had to know) that I kept it plugged in as I reattached the keyboard. Same thing. As I flip it over, light fades out. Flip out as if I'm going to disconnect, light is back.

So... Does anyone have any ideas what this could mean? I've never seen this before and maybe I'm just missing something SUPER obvious.

Asus Chromebook C201: Power input broke - can it be replaced? Thanks.

My wife dropped her Chromebook while it was charging. It landed on the power cord connection portion. The tip of the cord bent pretty badly. I was able to bend it back into shape and was able to use it for a while. But yesterday some pieces broke off in the power input of the Chromebook.

I've had quite a few experiences replacing laptop parts. So I am not completely a novice.

My question is how would I go about replacing the power input? Is it one pieces or is it part of the motherboard?

Any help would be apreciated?
