After it came back it did not connect to the internet properly. It was power cleaned and still the Chromebook keeps dropping connection to the internet. (There are no problems with the internet as other devices do not have a problem connecting).

Just replaced the screen as per directions. On first boot screen back to normal. Shortly after back to being very low brightness.

I assume I have missed a obvious setting. Pulled battery etc and getting same effect.

You can if looking carefully see the screen content.
