Last night, I went to start my dishwasher. I pressed the Start button before noticing that I was on "Pots and Pans" instead of "Normal". I immediately pressed the "Cancel" button in order to change the cycle. I heard the drain cycle start and finish, then I saw the "Normal" button flashing. I could not select any other cycle, and got no reaction when pressing "Start". I pressed the "Cancel" button again, but it just started flashing as well as the "Normal" button. At this point, I flipped the circuit breaker off, counted to 10, and flipped it back on. This made the "Cancel" button stop flashing, but the "Normal" button kept flashing. I then checked the interior to make sure that the overfill cover moved freely, that the sprayers could all turn freely, and that the filters were clear. No change. I tried the reset procedures found elsewhere in this forum (alternately pressing "Heated Dry" and "Normal"; pressing any three buttons in sequence three times; and pressing and holding various buttons for three seconds each) with no success. The trouble shooting guide from Whirlpool does not address anything associated with flashing lights. I've left the door open and unlatched for 12 hours now with no change. Any suggestions that don't involve calling a repairman?

Whirlpool Dishwasher: Error f8 e4 and initial drain doesn’t run

My whirlpool dishwasher was giving the f8e4 error. I took the bottom panel off and the tray with the float switch was totally dry. That seems to be the typical issue so I’m trying to figure out what else it might be. I found that if I leave the dishwasher to sit for a while, then run the cancel/drain button, and then immediately try to run the cleaning cycle, it will often work. If this doesn’t make it work, I usually need to let it sit for an hour or more before trying again. I’ve also sometimes put water into the bottom so it has something to drain out.

I did recently change from pods to loose powder, but after reading that I was possibly putting in too much powder I’ve gone back to pods. I thought I’d found the problem but after one successful cycle, it’s gone back to not starting without the error and my ridiculous attempts to make it run.

I’ve also checked the filter at the bottom, felt around and below the filter for any possible debris.

Any advice?

nor the 3 finger (water cubed and crushed)

held for 3 to 5 seconds - nothing happens.

Your archived tech sheet doesn't mention diagnostic mode or error codes.

Did diagnostic mode not exist in 2010?

Hi everyone,

I have a Bosch no-frost fridge/freezer, model KSU36620NE/18, FD8302. It is in very clean condition and was previously used only seasonally. I received it from a relative after it failed and was replaced.

I am trying to repair it. I replaced the mainboard with a new board that was sold to me as identical/compatible, but the cooling cycle is still not behaving correctly.

The main problem seems to be that the refrigerator section temperature is not being interpreted correctly by the control board. I cannot measure subzero freezer temperatures accurately, so I am not sure if the freezer control is also affected.

What happens:
- The unit can cool both sections.
- The fan runs for a while, then stops.
- After that, the fan does not restart when it should.
- Changing the temperature setting does not seem to influence the fan correctly.

Examples:
- If the fridge section is around +5°C and I lower the target to +2°C, the fan does not start, even after power cycling the unit.
- If the fridge section is around +4°C and I raise the target to +6°C, the fan may still run anyway.

So the board does not seem to react logically to the actual fridge temperature or the selected target temperature.

Because of this, I suspect one of these:
- Fridge temperature sensor / NTC problem
- Sensor wiring or connector pinout mismatch
- Wrong or incompatible mainboard despite being sold as compatible

I am planning to order a new temperature sensor from the same website that sold me the motherboard.

The large harness connector has some empty pin positions. Is this normal for this model?

The fan seems to be a 220-240V fan. Would it be a reasonable temporary workaround to power the fan independently using a thermal AC switch?

Or would that not work properly if this model has an air damper/flap controlled by the mainboard?

Any advice from someone familiar with Bosch KSU models would be appreciated.

Lint filter is clear

Waste hose is clear with no kinks

Drain pump replaced

Hoses from drum to pump clear

Water level sensor clear but not replaced.

I can hear the icemaker "filling" sound, but no water comes through. I took a hair dryer and warmed the plastic tube where the water comes from and removed a cylinder of ice. Thought this would fix it. Nope. I have since put the arm in up position, and haven't had ice for a week. Thanks for any answers.

My refrigerator is a Frigidaire model # FFTR2021TS5. It is a top freezer/bottom fridge combo. A couple of weeks ago, I noticed the fridge being warmer than usual but just didn’t have time to immediately deal with it.

After some googling, I pulled off the back wall to the freezer and saw that that the air channel/air divertor leading from the cooling system to the fridge below was stuffed with ice. I got rid ice blockage which created the space for cold air to travel down and was hoping this would be the ultimate fix. After re-installing the back wall and putting everything back into the freezer, I felt the center vent in the fridge where air is supposed to travel down and escape through the vents but the air flow wasn’t nearly as significant as I hoped. I closed the fridge for a day to hope time would allow cold air to gather. The fridge was/is colder but not to the degree I thought it would be, especially since I adjusted the temperature colder than the “recommended” setting.

Today (about one week after trouble shooting), I noticed the fridge warmer yet again. Removing the back wall to the freezer, the air divertor was once again blocked with ice. However one difference is the cooling fins had ice on them whereas last week they did not. I don’t know if this means anything.

So, the freezer definitely works - All the food is still frozen, I can hear the motor run and there is still an audible sound when I open the freezer door. Can anyone please give advice on what might be happening here? What do you think I need to replace? Do I need to check anther area of the fridge for a blockage? Do you see anything concerning from the pictures of the back wall I posted? This fridge was just over $500 and I am hoping to avoid spending 1/3rd of the cost or more to call someone out to repair it.

My Samsung refrigerator is RT53DG6650S9FZ Evolution Series, brand new model. Freezer at the top.

After 4 months it started to hold snow at the top of the freezer and the fridge wasnt cooling enough. I checked and there was malfunctioning on the heater. After checking, 90 ohms and 120V to activate it from the board, ok.

But since I defrosted it naturally, it's going to take a lot of time to test the defrosting.

So I want to enter on FORCED DEFROST MODE, by holding FRIDGE and POWER COOL buttons inside the fridge (test mode). But I havent found any tech guide manual and there is a LOT OF OPTIONS when holding both buttons to enter test mode. I'm wondering if someone could have the SERVICE GUIDE MANUAL of this model.

I have found on Scribd an early version, which does not seems to work. I believe they changed how to enter test mode.

Does anybody know how to work on test mode or forced defrost mode to test my heater or have this tech service manual updated? Samsung won't help me sending me this tech guide, since i'm only a customer who likes to fix things by my own.

Why is my Dyson going on an off when I'm holding the on button?

First let me say, the battery charges just fine and I’ve totally cleaned out the collection bin. I push the button to turn on the vacuum and it works, but then turns off and on over and over again while I’m still holding the button down.

I looked this up online and someone said the filter needed to be cleaned. So I took out the filter rinsed it as the online instructions said, let it dry, then put it back in. This did not solve the problem.

Any other suggestions?
