Apple Watch Series 6: Why is the adhesive not sticky?

I purchased 44mm series 6 screen adhesive from ifixit. I am just curious, why isn't it sticky? I peeled off the backing and there is virtually nothing holding it on, and the screen pops back off right away. Is there anything wrong with just using silicone or something to hold it on instead of this tiny adhesive strip that is not sticky?

Apple Watch Series 6: Is the 6 the same as the SE in terms of repairs?

I have an SE with a cracked screen and I only see tear downs/repairs for the 6 and not the SE. I wanted to know if they were the same so I could order a screen. I’ve been trying to google it/search Reddit/and apple’s site as well. I know that the protective cases can fit either, I just don’t know if that is enough of a similarity to expect the insides are the same as well.

Apple Watch Series 6: Replaced battery and screen adhesive but screen still pops up

Hi, I originally bought a screen replacement which went mostly ok, but I damaged the battery so also got a battery replacement. When doing the repair, I got the proper Tesa tape from this site, removed all the old glue and tape, and kept the watch closed with rubber bands for 24 hours. The watch works great, no issues at all but when I have it on and using it the screen slowly pops up. I'm not sure if it's a battery swelling issue or just an adhesive issue. I don't want to seal it up and cause some more serious damage, but also don't want to buy another battery and open it all up again risking damaging anything else. Any thoughts? Attaching two photos, one with no pressure on it showing the screen slightly raised, and the other when I squeeze it and where I think the screen should be.

Apple Watch Series 6: Won't power on after battery switch

Hey guys so I have a series 6 and the battery I had was losing its charge quickly so I bought a new battery opened it up as per instruction here. Switched battery and it won't power on, tried it on the charger and nothing on the screen. Thought it was a bad battery so I replaced it with the old battery that I knew worked and it still would not power on. I checked the cables going to the screen and they look good don't believe I hit anything while taking the screen off. Any help would be much appreciated!

Apple Watch Series 6: Troubleshooting Won’t Turn On

So I initially suspected water damage, but I’m not sure that’s the case. I was swimming with my watch and it suddenly started SOS like I was holding the crown and wouldn’t stop. I was able to access all the features of the watch as long as it wasn’t in SOS mode. Then I took the watch off and it powered off completely, and I was unable to force restart it or get it to turn back on. I already tried all the force restart options. I don’t know if it’s a charge, but the device does heat up if I leave it on an Apple certified charger for a long enough period of time.

At this point I took it to Apple , and they basically said we can send it back for repairs, but it’s gonna cost me an arm and a leg. So I’m trying to see if I can fix it myself otherwise it’s just a piece of junk.

I removed the screen to try to see if there was any corrosion or evidence of water damage and I couldn’t find anything. But I did notice when I remove the screen that some lines on the screen itself, which makes me think that it did take the charge at least.

Any thoughts on what’s happening or how I can go about fixing it or even figuring out what’s wrong with it in the first place I can’t tell if it’s a board issue, battery issue, or screen issue.

Apple Watch Series 6: How bad is this? (back glass cracked, sensors seem intact)

I just discovered this X-shaped scratch/crack on the back plate of my series 6 watch. I don’t have apple care + (kicking myself for it). The watch seems to be working/charging absolutely normally. I am guessing this breaks the water resistance. Is there anything else that could be a problem? If I take it in for repair, is it just a question of replacing the back plate or will they have to install new sensors?

Apple Watch Series 6: New apple watch not working - charging crack?

I everyone,

At Christmas, our employer gave gift and one of them was an apple watch 6. The employé who won it, kept it to give as a gift later.

Unfortunately, it's not working, it's now too late to return and apple was asking 400$ to send for repair. (Rip off), so at work they were like never mind.

I took it to see if I can repair and then give back as a gift for one of my employee if possible.

The watch doesn't turn on at all.

I let it on charge for over a day without success. Unfortunately, I don't have other cable to testthat component but I have wireless phone charger. May be?

I suspect the battery is dead but does that make sense?

I also see a tiny crack where the charging and sensors are. Could that be the issue?

What do you think? I am uploading a picture, it's difficult because of the reflection.

https://imgur.com/a/TsCSPdC here is the link to what got removed. I already tried putting it back glueing with B7000 the black underside part of the gold notch.

For context, my watch got damaged by water - stuck in bootloop for weeks. A repair shop said it is a faulty board and they'll try fixing it in exchange for a big amount of money.

I then submerged the watch in 99% alcohol like 5 times until it turned on again. Everything is working fine perfect. and used it for 2 weeks.

However, I'm trying to remove the old adhesive to prepare reapplying adhesive, then the gold notch got removed. After that, the sensors do not work and my wrist is not detected
