Apple Time Capsule Model A1254: Are later model hard drives compatible with this model?

The hard drive on my Time Capsule has stopped working. I was able to backup the data but now I need to replace the broken one. Will the hard drives from other models be compatible with the first generation? If not is there a third party hard drive that will?

Apple Time Capsule Model A1254: What can I do if my Time Capsule runs out of memory

Apple Time Capsule Model A1254

I have a 1st gen Time Capsule with a 500GB hard drive and I constantly receive notifications stating that the memory is full. Can I replace the memory unit with a larger version? If so how would I backup my current drive? Would it be cheaper to just buy a used Time Capsule and swap the drives?

Apple Time Capsule Model A1254: Where can I purchase a replacement "reader arm" for the harddrive?

I have managed to identify that it is the “reader arm” that is causing the harddrive to make a “clicking” sound, and as a result, will not read the internal disk. Since I do not have the money it takes to send it to a professional, I’m hoping to purchase a replacement for this part. Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I have 15 years’ worth of design files on the drive and I am desperate. (I apologize for any incorrect terminology I may have used) Thank you so much for your amazing website and for your help.
Apple Time Capsule Model A1254: Delta power supply failing?

My Time Capsule stopped working. No light, no sound form it, no connection to the computer.

Thought it was a failing power supply and bought capacitors. to my surprise the layout was completely different, Now I understand it is a Delta power supply.

No bulging capacitors.

Nevertheless the unit is not working.

measured the output from the power supply and it is 2 V and 10 V. Seem too little?

What to do?

Should I risk the money and buy a new power supply or could something else gone wrong?

Apple Time Capsule Model A1254: How do I make the time capsule fan run permanently?

I have had my 1st Gen. 1TB time capsule from new and it has always run extremely hot. It concerned me initially, but I have to say it has lasted ten years before the PSU failed, much to my surprise, I expected HDD trouble first owing to the high temps. Whilst waiting for a new PSU to enable me to get the data off the old HDD, I managed to pick up a 4th Gen. 2TB time capsule and it runs much much cooler. This makes me wonder if the old fan was working properly. Is there any way to check if it is running? Or is there a simple way to make it run permanently? Thanks for any help.

Update (02/20/2018)

Further to my initial question I have now received the new PSU and fitted it, and very quickly after powering up it gets hot like it always did - much hotter than the newer 4th Gen. time capsule. I was able to recover all my data from the HDD so that was still fine, but I haven't been able to work out if the cooling fan runs or not. No one any ideas? Thanks.
