Hey,

Usb-C port is not available on AppleTV 4k Edition.

How is it possible to connect Appletv 4k to ituens ?

I heared ,something about recovery/DFU mode over a WiFi connection

I asked this question in Official Apple community Forum, but nobody answer.

According to this link:

https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT203028

Apple TV 4th Generation: Apple TV 4 (A1625) Boot Looping

My Apple TV 4 is not able to fully boot up to the home screen.

It displays the Apple logo that you'd normally see during the boot process. After the light on the front of the device blinks 9 times, it seems to immediately reboot itself.

On just one occasion since this began, iTunes was able to see the Apple TV temporarily when I had connected it with a USB-C cable (with the intent to be to do a software restore on it, if possible).

I have tried two power cables (borrowed from another working Apple TV), two HDMI cables (not perceived to be an issue since we can see the boot logo on screen), different power outlets, and even different televisions.

There are articles on holding the TV and Menu buttons on the remote for 10 seconds to force it to restart. The Apple TV does seem to react to the remove (the light on the front will flash in response to it), but this did not permit a full boot.

Thoughts on what hardware components inside of this would be worth swapping out to get this working again?

Apple TV 3rd Generation: Are the activation servers down?

Hi,

Just a question, have apple fully taken down the Apple TV 3 (I have A1469) activation servers down? I have reset my ATV many times and it always says activation failed in Settings-General-About. This also removes AirPlay which is the only reason I need the Apple TV. I’ve seen many other people with this issue but I still don’t know if it is a one time problem that is hard to fix and they are repairing it or if they are fully down forever.

So, could anyone tell me if it is a bug (and how to fix it) or if it is fully down.

Thanks

Apple TV: How can I convert the hard drive from ATA IDE to SATA?

Howdy everyone! I'm getting an Apple TV from eBay, and I'm a little bummed that it uses the old (40GB) ATA IDE hard drive interface, and I'd rather use a 120GB SATA that I have lying around not doing anything. I've looked for connectors or cables that would do the trick, but I don't think I've found one suitable. I located this: http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Addonics/... on OtherWorldComputing, but it seems that it needs to be plugged in to work! I just need something that I can conceal in the Apple TV that you would never know was inside.

Anyone got any ideas? Is there a ribbon cable that would go straight from the logic board to an SATA drive?

Apple TV 3rd Generation: ATV apparently dead - no power light

Have an A1469 Gen 3 AppleTV which was found dead after we came back out to our lake place this year. No power light, no picture.

Perhaps related, perhaps not - our 10 year old Samsung LED flat screen there was also found dead - I was able to repair with a new main board, while the power supply and T-Con board were fine. There had been some heavy weather in the month before - possible lightning strike?

Anyway, I've taken the bottom off the ATV, and see nothing obvious. No sign of life when plugged into Mac via USB. I hate to just throw away, but don't have any info regarding troubleshooting/diagnostics.

Any suggestions?
