Apple Studio Display M7649: Is replacing the screen reasonably feasible at home?

My display got badly scratched and I need to replace it. I have read the 17" display teardown and the screen is the last thing to come out. Can it be accessed without having to remove all the other parts?

Apple Studio Display M7649: What are the original computers that had this connection type?

I have acquired one of these monitors but none of my apple computers have this connector port. It is called ADC, correct? What computers do? Glad I didn't pay much. Seems like a nice monitor but no good to me without getting an adapter I guess. Where is the cheapest place to get the adapter? Also would like to find the manual online if anyone can direct me. Thanks in advance for any help!

Apple Studio Display M7649: Bad backlight on display. Burnt CFL?

I have an ADC Studio Display which has no backlight. I do not think it is the inverter because the power light stays solid and the backlight does not flash at start up. I have tested the CFL with 3.5V and no go! Does it need more voltage to test with?
